London US embassy question

Timeline

Hi guys,

my interview is tomorrow at 9 AM.What time should i allow myslef to que up outside?.2 hours ,an hour?.

Also,is it true that NO cell phones are allowed and that bringing backpacks is discouraged.

No point in getting there before 8.30am.

Cell phones have to be left at security. You can't take a back pack in that has to be left as well as the phone. Unless you really need a backpack it might not be worth he hassle.

Good luck it will be an anti climax and quite an easy day.

Darren got to the embassy at 8:15 for a 9:00 appointment; they wouldn't let him in the queue until 8:30...cell phones not allowed; they are left at a security station...not sure about backpacks, but I wouldn't think they would be allowed either...

10/9/10 - Sent I-751 and started the fresh hell that is ROC

10/14/10 - NOA1 for ROC

10/29/10 - received appointment for Biometrics

11/22/10 - Biometrics appointment

Currently: Living blissfully with my Essex lad...

We brought a not-insubstantial tote bag to carry the folder of stuff -- no probs getting that in. I think if the backpack is "daypack" size (i.e. not some proper camping thing, and not filled to the brim) you have a chance of getting it in.
