Welshie, there are so many there that are so beautiful!

Meanwhile, let's discuss cakes! I want a nice (but small) cake, but since it's going to bein Key West, I'd love a key lime pie flavored wedding cake. What do you guys think about that?

Key lime flavored cake? I don't think I've ever heard of a lime flavored cake! One thing you can do, rather than have an actual cake, is to have the key lime pies themselves (that would be very yummy indeed). If you really want a cake, and it can be small, maybe make a simple angel food cake and cover it with fresh fruit-key lime, mango, all that good stuff. Another alternative is the tres leches (three milks) cake...it's a refreshing incredibly moist cake (since it's had 3 milks poured over it), can also be topped with fresh fruit.

Don't let the sunshine spoil your rain...just stand up and COMPLAIN!

Key lime pies would be awesome! Our cake was from Publix - my MIL ordered the cake and flowers. Suffice it to say it was NOT NOT NOT what I wanted. We were going to have a vow renewal sometime down the line, but now as other "more important things" pop up it seems like it's probably not going to happen...

anyways, Key lime Pie sounds lovely! As a cake, not so much!

In which case, I would definitely go for the Angel Food cake, with a simple cream topping...that can be tiered up, then instead of flowers on top, have them use fresh fruit-tropical stuff like key limes, mangos, etc.
