I just recieved the appt letter from NVC and they list all the immunizations that the US requires, but my question is how many have people had to take in order to get through the interview?

Mumps, Measles, Rubella=MMR

Polio

Tetanua and Diptheria

Pertussis

Indianheart, I heard that you can have vaccinations from outside hospital and get a record of that to produce to the panel of physicians. If your beneficiary has any previous records of any of those vaccinations, that would be sufficient. Good luck to your upcoming interview :star::star::star: You're almost done, dear :star::star::star:

Indianheart,

1) Does your appointment letter say "Packet 4" ?

2) Does this ask a Demand Draft of $65 for IV issuance fee ?

3) Does it list any biometric fee ? I hope not.

4) Are you the agent ? If yes, appointment letter is received by the agent, right ?

Please answer. That would help us who are following you...

Yes I am the agent and I received the letter on the 7th of may...my husband has not yet recieved the letter (no surprise as he is in India). there are no additional fees for visa issuance or biometrics...I just asked this question a couple of days ago ;) . My husband has verification of MMR and his family doctor knows of his having chicken pox as a child so he shouldnt need varicella or the MMR, but I dont know if any of these others are required at his age for immigration. I have a table of immunizations recommended for US as listed on the CDC website and there are only these listed (MMR, Polio, Td...influenza and pnuemococcal for those with health risks). I just want some one who has been to confirm what they had to have.

some times being so close makes the axiety that much more

Good Indianheart !

U.S Consulate website says "A $65 issuance fee for immigrant visas is due ONLY IF it has not already been paid to the National Visa Center."

IV—Application is $ 355 and Security enhancement surcharge is $ 45. The total of $355 and $45 is $400. We pay this $400 as IV fee bill. Then where we pay $65 for visa issuance fee ??? Application fee and Issuance fee both are diffrerent.

Please check it out at http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/iv_fees.html

For non-immigrant visas, U.S has stopped one of the fee (application and issuance fee) to Indian citizens due to reciprocity since India stopped charging one of the fee from U.S citizens. But, we are dealing immigrant visas. Please call Chennai U.S consulate or shoot an email to confirm.

hi,

This is the job of the doctor... let the doctor decide what he wants to give you. If you have any previous medical records which are serious in nature. Just take that with you. I would recommend Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai to you. They are fast, quick and pretty easy

sorry about delay in my reply...there is no mention of packet 4 on the appt letter, this website is mentioned http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html

and refers to the medical information. there have been others that have gone through the process that have assured me that there are no other fees to be paid at the consulate because all were paid to NVC, but my husband will have extra money with him just incase. we are preparing for the possible extra fees at the lab as well as the panel physician and hoping that there are no other extra costs (prepare for the worst and hope for the best). I am thinking that the 65$ could be for DCF filers, they do not pay any fees to NVC.

hope this was helpful.

Hi Indianheart, I'm 37 and just had to take 3 of them which are MMR, TD and Varicella. I've got that information from the physician office. I had 2 of them for free just we'll have to pay for the Varicella one which is the only still left to be taken.

Good Luck!
