i was asked for fome info on my interview... i will try to keep it short....

my original interview date was april 7th. BTW the letter with the date arrived like 10 days before that so it is a very good idea getting the papers before getting that. As soon as i had arranged holidays to go to the states the last 2 weeks of april, i called to move my interview to may 5th. first they told me that they can nt give me the date but it should be in aprox 1 month and asked me to wait for the new package. y called 2 weeks afer to ask for my interview date and the system did not show a date... so i asked it for 5th may again. then i called again like 2 weeks later and this time they di say that the interview was on 5th may and as soon as i did not receive any packege she was going to send the order to be sent again. At the end i had 4 packages at home. the bad part.... the papers inside were not all the same......

note #1: despite it says to send documents back to the embassy, dont send them, just take everything to the interview.

may 5th, 745am was standing outside lima embassy, just do the file like the rest of the people and have the letter with the interview date in your hand. Arround 8 a guy from the embassy starts to check documentation principally for people looing for tourist visa. show him the letter and he will mark it and sk you to walk inside. Dont take water, colognes, liquids or elecronics, you will have to leave all at the security check, they will give them back when you leave. take some magazine because this can take some time. inside there is another person checking for papers, people for B1/B2 visa has to leave their docs in another row outside. when she sees your letter she will ask you to go to the end of the waiting room and will tell you that you will be called by your name. this girl will walk inside a little bit later with your letter and others and leave them so they can call you.

then they called me. i think most of these people are peruvian so spanish is ok. she asked me for my documents, and i said.... witch ones... and i gave her, medical, police certificate, forms, pictures, the letters from his work, tax information, income papers etc, then i realized i didnt have 156 form... she said, dont worry lets interview you first, she asked for pictures and was writing info on a computer, she asked me, ok, so how did you meet??? and i start telling her the whole story, she kept writing and listening wth half of herattention becaus on the funny parts she laughed.... i didint even finish to tell her my story and she gave me a blue paper to go outside, get the form and give it to her when i am back. it should take me 15 minutes have the form, so i went back give it to her and she said i will be called back again.

this was the longest wait time.... they called me to the last window that btw it is like a closed small office. this lady she was american but also knows spanish. we were talking in english anyway. she had the original petition file sent by us for the petition, then one i you have to pay 400something dollars. she was reviewing the papers, she asked me if i met my fiance in person, i said, yes, i just came back from the states yesterday!!! she saw my pasport, i have 4 stamps of entering to the states, then i start to tell herabout my trip, the places i visit and she kept reading the file, then she saw that my fiance is a cop and said, that is like dangerous, i said not too much, he does this kind of things... and it was like a nice conversation.... she took my fingerprints, and then she took a big stamp and stamped my curent tourist visa.... i said, no tourist visa anymore????? and she said you cant be non inmigrant and inmigrant at the same time.... then se explained that i will receive my passport with a closed envelope containing all my profile, i should not open it and i have to take it to the states and give it at the POE.

then they give me a ticket to go to DHL office to arrange how i want my passport back and that was all!!!!!

i hope this is useful.

note #2: this is a procedure. if you follow it and really are dating somebody and have proofs of that you will have the visa. IMHO.

bye and good luck!
