Okay, I just read Fuzzness' and KarenCee's timelines when they were responding to another post and I'm rather irritated. (Not at you guys... just at process.) How in the world did you get interviews in Montreal prior to mine when I sent out my P3 on February 13th and you sent yours out on March 6th? Are you both American females? I need to figure this one out. Thank you. :)

American females, what does that have to do with the price of tea in China??? hehehehe.....seriously...we have no idea how this happened. I just hate it for everyone else going through MTL. :(

Hmm was looking over this and I did notice something about the timelines, I wonder if it has something to do with this.

Fuzzness received packet 3 on March 2, 2006 and sent it back on March 6, 2006

KarenCee received packet 3 on March 2, 2006 and sent it back on March 6, 2006

Krikit received packet 3 on November 11, 2005 and sent it back February 13, 2006

Makes me wonder if i has something to do with the length of time between them sending out packet 3 and having the checklist returned.

Hmm... <_<

Well in packet 3, they do say this:

To begin the processing of your case, please follow these instructions:

A. Step One. Please complete and return immediately to this office the enclosed Form DS-230 Part 1, Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration.

B. Step Two. Please obtain each document listed below. Check off the box next to each document as you obtain it and sign the checklist when you have obtained all of them. Then return only the signed checklist back to us...

So would it make a difference if someone just sent in the DS-230 Part 1 immediately, and then sent off the checklist at a later date? Or does the consulate just figure out interview dates once they get both the form and the checklist? Is it really important to send in that DS-230 ASAP?

Oops. Sorry. Didn't mean to post a non-response. Sorry about that.

So... I'm thinking that you get a quicker response if you're a U.S. female applicant than if you're a U.S. male applicant. Interesting. Thanks for responding, guys. And congratulations. I think it's fabulous that you were approved. Best wishes.

So you think it makes a difference if the applicant is female vs male?

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

I returned the DS-230 in early December 2005. Once I had completed the checklist, I sent that off on February 13th, 2006. It will be interesting to see if we can find a correlation between the receipt of forms and the actual interview dates.

Not that it has any impact on the differences seen here, or Montreal in particular. Just a heads up I found some interesting information from January that is probably having an impact on all consulates and possibly slowing them down. You can find it on this thread

Ya know, I've learned that it does not matter where you are or who you are , if EVERYONE did everything at same thing at the same time and day, nothing would be completed at the same time. He$$, there have been people that interviewed AFTER my fiance and got their visas already and we are still waiting. KarenCee and Fuzzness has nothing to do with the process on who gets an interview when. They following the guides on here like we all have done. And really, I'm not trying to cause problems, but maybe PM questions like this or ask a general question and not name people. And what's up with are they both women???? Ummm.....can't even do that so I'm not going there.
