That is really awesome!! I hope that we can find something like that around here, but I do not think there is anything close to home - I'm kinda living in a quiet area and then driving into the city (Wilmington and Philadelphia sometimes ) for work - I guess I could always drive him, drop him, go work and get him before I go home. There are lots of ESL classes here- I don't think he needs them for the language, but I think the social interaction is what he needs to work on and hopefully that would help him.

I hope that your hubby finds a great job and that it helps him!!

I think the hot lemonade sounds sweet, he's trying to nurse you back to health

Better than my DH who thinks olive oil fixes everything? ####### hehehe

aaaaaaaaachoooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

I can't say enough about the Career Center we have near us!!! Hubby went again yesterday and is signed up for classes next week on how to write your resume and how to be sucessful in an interview, along with a business esl class. They have recruiters come in monthly on a specific day for each company as well so he can interview right there on the spot! I can't wait till he gets his EAD so he can show his stuff and we can see what happens!

He told me he's going to give me hot lemonade when I get home. BLECH.

Easy access to public transportation has been a BIG blessing for us!!! It didn't take him long at all to figure out where to get the bus, what bus drops you off at the subway, etc. He's gone into boston about three times now on his own to go to a mosque that he likes there. The career center he found without any help from me just by using a street map and walking it. I found the link to it and he just found the address. The link was found by looking on the unemployment site so I bet if you go to your state's unemployment section there would maybe be similar services in your area? I hope so because it's really boosted his spirits knowing that he won't have to wait for certain companies that he wants to call him for an interview.

There are "career centers" similar to that in nearly all states and communities. The one here is connected with the unemployment office. Same sorts of classes and what nots.

OHMYGOSH Jax! Are you alright?? How bad is the car?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

Good morning from La Jolla, California!!

new_LaJolla_Beach___Cliffs.jpg

It's a beautiful GLOOMY day. Got up earlier than usual, took my mini-pinscher to the Vet for a dental cleaning and other procedures (poor thing!), and drove along the Pacific Coast -- being sure to make a stop at my favorite local coffee house (got two drinks - coffee and tea! *Jitters* ). Had the sunroof open and let my hair fly (at least the strands not clipped down -- no scarf out the car).

Now am 2 HOURS early to work, so just checking on VJ yay!, and dancing  every 10 minutes for the automatic light to come back on (yes, it keeps going off because I'm SOOO still, yeah right!)

Hope all of you are having a great HUMP day!! Just wish my hunny is here tho :whistle:
