julianna, (the expert gardener), i want to plant this plummish color plant that is a very hearty plant, it grows pretty quick and in the beginning it blooms these flowers but then loses them, it requires trimming, do you know what the name of this plant is? i want to get it to replace my dead bush.

LOL Ohhhh Maureen! I never read the posts this early and usually skip them! It's a good thing I read!

That could be a lot of things. This is a bush, right? Does it have thorns and small leaves (very tiny, smaller than a dime in many cases, although some will be larger) (could be a barberry) or larger leaves, no thorns (purple sand cherry)? If both are nos, we'll go from here. Also does it lose its leaves in the winter-- is it deciduous or evergreen?

Has anybody had a problem getting the SS card if their husband didn't get the EAD on arrival? I was wondering about this but my work is telling me that they require the letter that he is given when he applies to put him on my insurance so we will go on Friday. He will have been here 15 days by then. I was told we needed our marriage certificate, visa, passport, I 94 to bring to the office, anything else?

I wanted to say i had seen your question but Ammar was Cr-1 so I cannot say about EAD.

Hi all! Happy Hump Day and I hope the rest of this work week goes by fast!

I know this is a continued discussion from yesterday but I have a few questions:

Has anybody had a problem getting the SS card if their husband didn't get the EAD on arrival? I was wondering about this but my work is telling me that they require the letter that he is given when he applies to put him on my insurance so we will go on Friday. He will have been here 15 days by then. I was told we needed our marriage certificate, visa, passport, I 94 to bring to the office, anything else?

My hubby didn't get EAD on arrival and had no problems getting SSN. It just takes a couple of weeks from their arrival to get "in the system". By Friday, your hubby should be in their system and you *should* have no worries! Good luck!

BTW, Ash... you're HOT!:rofl: , no seriously... you are!

Good morning all!!! Off to a busy day at work for me, after I make some waffles, that is! :luv:

Julianna, maybe she means the ' Almond' bush.... ;)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

G'mornin and happy hump day everyone!

Jen, I'm praying for things to look up for you. My door is always open if u need a mini vacation.

Jackie, ur "spinning" is caused due to not taking ur medication. It is a known side effect when u quit taking those types of meds cold turkey. U have to taper off every other day for a week, then every other other day for a week etc etc until u can go without it completely and not have side effects. That "spinning" is no laughing matter, it can cause serious harm by causing you to fall on a whim and lose muscle control. I hope you do the right thing.

now that I've played medicine mommy for the morning, its time to go to work.

aaaaaaaaachoooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

I can't say enough about the Career Center we have near us!!! Hubby went again yesterday and is signed up for classes next week on how to write your resume and how to be sucessful in an interview, along with a business esl class. They have recruiters come in monthly on a specific day for each company as well so he can interview right there on the spot! I can't wait till he gets his EAD so he can show his stuff and we can see what happens!

He told me he's going to give me hot lemonade when I get home. BLECH.

That is really awesome!! I hope that we can find something like that around here, but I do not think there is anything close to home - I'm kinda living in a quiet area and then driving into the city (Wilmington and Philadelphia sometimes ) for work - I guess I could always drive him, drop him, go work and get him before I go home. There are lots of ESL classes here- I don't think he needs them for the language, but I think the social interaction is what he needs to work on and hopefully that would help him.

I hope that your hubby finds a great job and that it helps him!!

I think the hot lemonade sounds sweet, he's trying to nurse you back to health

Better than my DH who thinks olive oil fixes everything? ####### hehehe
