Hey everybody,

I just want to make sure our affidavit of support is totally complete now. I am a bit nervous and want to make sure we have everything ready for the big day!!

My boyfriend just received his 3 last tax transcripts, so I understand he doens't need any copies of W2, or 1099, is this right?

I have his last pay stubs, the letter from his employer, with annual income. He makes above 125% of the poverty level, so he didin't provide any assets. Still ok??

He filled the I-134. I think everything is ok on this.

However, I was wondering if he needs to have one or all these docs certified?? If yes, where can he get this done???? I read in on of the forum that: "Sponsors may also elect to furnish a statement in the form of an affidavit sworn to before a notary public or other official competent to administer an oath, setting forth his or her willingness and financial ability to contribute to the applicant's support and reasons, in detail, for sponsoring the applicant."

So, I don't know what to do...

Thanks for your help!

Have a enchanting day.

Faustine

It looks like everything is in order but the signing and Notarizing. He needs to take the completed form, unsigned to a Notary public and have them witness his signature by signing in the space provided for them and using their Notary stamp. Usually these services are provided for free at his bank or insurance agent's office.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous
