Hello Everyone!

Many thanks to all the people who became part of our journey in this K1. We are still on the road. We got our NOA2 and waiting for it to be received at the NVC. Probably looking at June 2008 interview. Anyways, we still have couples of questions to ask.. Hoping you could assist us more..

1) Aside from document verification fees, non-immigrant fees, and medical fees? Are there any more other fees we need to prepare and pay along the way of processing this K1? How much it is? Please let us know so we can budget. :help:

2) About the documents to be brought to embassy interview. I understand that it should be all original including the package sent to USCIS. My question is, do we still have to send additional original copy to US Embassy here in the Philippines such as the "Letter of Intent to Marry"? :help:

This is it for now.

Looking forward again to you enlightening comments.

Distance doesn't matter if you really love the person, what matters most is your honesty and trust for that relationship to work out. We may not get to see as often as we like, we may not get to hold each other in arms all through the night. But deep in our heart we truly know, we are meant for each other, the one to spend our life with forever!

Hi Guys :)

Congrats on getting your NOA2!!! :)

There are many hidden fees along the way. You seem to be aware of some of the major ones, medical, non-immigrant, etc.

The other major fee is when you actually get married and file for AOS, that is $1010.00. Included in this fee is EAD (Work Authorization) and AP (Advanced Parole) There would be other fees like traveling to and from the medical and the interview and of course, moving!

All in all, I think it's around 2 to 3 thousand dollars from start to finish. (then again, your fiance has much further to travel so it will be costing you more to travel)

Any documentation should be brought with you to the actual interview. According to the Philippines Embassy page here you don't mail anything back to the embassy itself, rather, it's taken right to the interview by your fiance. You can also see on that page all the forms that need to be filled out and taken to the interview.

Check out the Guides and scroll to the bottom to see what you should be mailing your fiance for her to take to the interview.

Best of luck!!! :)
