Hi dawqofwar71

I didn't see anything wrong and never heard it's that strict in my opinion as long as you don't use black and blue ink in one form there's no problem. If you have read blue is needed to fill in forms then use blue only and if black then use black ink only for the rest of your forms. In my case I used black ink only in filling all my forms so I guess neither of the two will do :) :) :) . =Gen=

Hi there! I don't think ink color would matter as long as you don't use red... lol. Anyways, I think it is better to use blank ink as it is more formal. Black ink is also the one preferred to be used in any Filipino documents such as filling up loan applications and so on and so forth. So i think its safe to use black ink.

Goodluck and God bless.

We used blue.

I've read of a few people here on VJ who used black and the Officer working on their case gave them an RFE because he couldn't tell if it was an original signature or a photocopy.

Blue or Black ink are both perfectly acceptable.

Best of luck! :)

BLACK is what they ask you to use. So I used a Black pen. A good Black pen will never look like the signature/info is from a copy. It'll have a "shine" to it that a copy will not produce.

The other thing is that black copies best, blue second best, any other color isn't going to copy well.

With what Laura said, there are some black pens that have that really fine roller point that DO make it hard to tell if it's an original or a copy. Most pens don't do that.

3/5/11 sent LOC paperwork

3/9/11 date of NOA

?/?/?? biometrics appointment

LOL, funny how this question could lead to a debate. :star:

Either is fine. IIRC, there is no directive on any government immigration website or form that requires one over the other.

We always use blue ink for all legal documents because being able to easily tell the original is very important and is contractually required by most of our corporate clients. However, a very small minority do insist on black.

I know some lawyers who will use a different color for every witness on a will just to emphasize the originality of all initials and signatures.

Black or Blue, it's up to you. :D

If my memory servers me right

the reason black is asked for on forms is dur to the fact that it is easier to photocopy than blue

so i always use black, although it can be fun finding a black pen in my household, they tend to end up in my sons school bag

check out my time line and dont forget to update yours too :D
