When I am in PI, I like PI Prices.

Example 1200 to 1800 peso per night, and should include: Aircon / Hot & Cold Water / TV / Full size bed.

then perhaps hostel1632 could suit your taste http://www.hostel1632.com/features.shtml

they have aircon, hot and cold shower, tv.. I just don't dont about the full size bed since I will still be able to see the place next week but then again they said the room we book have one single bed and one double bed which is not bad for P1,300 right? you can check here for reviews: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g2...gion_Luzon.html

and you can check this video of the place.

There is also UCCP Shalom center:http://www.uccpshalomcenter.com/roomsandrates.html

Yes Riz, I called them up man.. the rate in their website is probably intended for foreigners, i am not sure but they do have ongoing promo now, the 1,300 for single or twin standard room.

si julie (ammike) nagrecommend sa place, she stayed there with her fiance before and then stayed there last week. Nagbook napud cya for her interview.. she was able to check other hotels I suggested to her pero di man daw nice. Shalom lang wala nya makit-an but I know shalom is really clean and safe and their rooms are big according to a close friend who used to work there, their standard room is 1,650 per day....

I chose nalang Hostel over Shalom to save 350per day which would be 3,500 in the 10 days that me and the kids would be staying in manila. I think Fatima will also be staying there when her interview comes.

Ah mao ba Gaye. Maybe I should book there na lang pod one day before my interview no? Actually just talked to Fatima, and she thought of trying Miramar, atbang lang gyud daw sa USEM.

Wise decision to stay on the one with lower rate kay dugay2x gyud mo sa Manila. I will try to call and see also.

Anyone who was done with their medical exam and interview in Manila. I am trying to figure out on which hotel is good to stay in Manila during the medical exam and interview. I am considering the distance of St. Luke's Medical Center, which is located in Quezon while the US Embassy is along Roxas Boulevard. I am planning to have the medical exam and interview done in one time when I will go to Manila. Could that be possible too? I think I will be staying in Manila for 5-7 days, or more than that?

You are not going to St. Lukes medical Center at Quezon City, you are going to take your Medical at their extension clinic which is located at 1177 J. Bocobo Street, Ermita, Manila. You need to take your Medical at least one week before your scheduled Interview so you may plan your stay in Manila from 7-14 days.

Oh yes, you're right. I failed to read the details of the address of St. Luke at USEM website. Thank you very much for the info. I appreciate it.

Don't feel bad! Some peeps have actually gone to the QC St. Lukes to try and take their medicals!

Lots of expats stay at The Lotus Garden when they go to Manila. Not to do interviews but it's a clean, safe, reasonable hotel. My wife, my anak and her sis stayed their also for the medical. 5 minute walk to St. Lukes. Jollibee right across the street. Another 10 minutes to USEM.

I was considering transferring to miramar pud unta as well as Hotel Juliano and southern cross which are nearer to embassy compared with Hostel... kaya lang I was discouraged by these reviews on Miramar: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g2...gion_Luzon.html

and Julie said very noisy daw sa southern cross so there is hotel Juliano nalang na option left for me which is within my budget and nacheck napud sa ako isa ka friend na ok pud daw (1000k for the standard room with aircon) but kapuyan nako cge transfer ug hotel na oi if it is only me, I wont have problem kay cowboy man kaayo ko pero my kids will be with me man gud.. Besides I will be spending more time sa SLEC man.

If you will only be staying in a hotel a night before interview, dapat sa mas duol nalang jud ka stay Riz. Dili man kaayo duol jud ang hostel sa embassy. Maybe you can scout for a nice budget hotel very near embassy when you arrive in manila.. Lahi lang man gud ang pics sa net and actual ba.

[thank u sis sa reply. so yung lang sayo ang binayaran mo yung case mo? wwere just waiting our appointment letter then mag babayd na ako sa metro bank.thank u again and god bless. by the way i add u on my friend list. hope its ok for u

I recommend BAYVIEW PARK HOTEL for the Interview..

Bayview Park Hotel is across the street from the US Embassy...

Also my wife stayed @ Bayview also for her Medical..

Rates are estimated $60 a night..

:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs: I agree. To save time and taxi fare/traffic, stay in this hotel. I stayed here 3x in two weeks...on my medical 3nights, on my interview 2days and 2days on my way to Florida. The price is good coz we book it in http://www.asiarooms.com/philippines/manil...yview_park.html ...it is a walking distance to St. Lukes ....50pesos in a taxi...its less actually...i just hiked for the sake of sight seeing  On the interview, its just accross the street so, you can go early if you want. Breakfast is served 6 am. I went in at 6:00 coz i requested to eat at 5:45...my reservation is free breakfast each time. Going to Airport fare 130 pesos the most. Bayview highly recommended.Goodluck
