Hello, my mom is considering to apply for investors and enter the US because I may soon be engaged to a US citizen or may stay there with a work permit. But, I have two dependent brothers that are only in high school. Does anyone know whether they can attend school free in the US if my mom hasn't even gotten a visa? Will the rules change if the children live with me and study here because I will be in the States with a work or Spousal visa? Thanks.

When we signed my son up for school we were never asked about his immigration status or even asked to provide proof of legal residence....

YMMV

When I brought my daughter here I was a K-1 she was a K-2 and I had to prove it! they would not have registered her without her documents(shes in grade 10) so it sounds like it depends on where you are..

good luck!

I don't really understand the question, i'm not sure what an 'investors' is. A visa based on monetary investment I am thinking?

Anyway, your Brothers can't live in the U.S. based on your visa alone.
