My fiancee has a K1-visa and is joining me in the states in one month inshaallah. Are matrimony is in mid April. We would like very much if her uncle could also attend the wedding party because he has helped us so much. He has told me that I just need to send him an invitation, but I don't how to go about it or even if it is possible?

We would like to try to bring him here before 20th, April. I am thinking of asking an attorney, but I thought I would ask here first as there are many very knowledgeable people on the forum.

Can I send an invitation for her uncle is it possible?

Thank you for any advise.

in your other thread I just said it was likely a longshot but go for it anyway...here I just wanted to add a welcome and a congratulations on the k-1 and upcoming wedding. We don't see a lot of UAE here. Are you working on your timeline? I think it would be intersting to follow your uncles application here too so I hope you post back with what comes of that. Good luck

right, I'm clear about the difference in visa types. I would still be interested in how the process goes for him. Its a diff embassy that Im totally unfamiliar with too, but in general, I think that tourist visas are difficult for arab men to get these days. I wouldn't mind being proven wrong and I wish him luck.

Brad- you dont owe any follow-up, I'm just curious (and supportive. I hope her uncle gets to visit)

Good luck

I don't know if you are speaking of the tourist visa for her uncle or not.

My husband tried for a tourist visa in 9/03 after we had known each other for a few months and it was denied because he didn't show enough attachment to his country, Morocco. At that time, I had to send him a letter of invitation as to why he would be coming and that I would provide for all his needs while he was in the country, such as food, place to stay, transportation and such. I had the letter notarized and sent it to him for his interview for the tourist visa.

Maybe you can contact the embassy/consulate in her uncle's country and ask them but I think he just means a letter of invitation. I do wish you good luck!
