I received an email from NVC last night confirming that our petition has already been sent to USEM. I am so happy :dancing: with this wonderful news but to my surprise, :o I noticed that the case number indicated on their email was totally different from what the NVC agent gave my husband last April 29. I was completely dumbfounded and wasn't able to sleep knowing that this could affect our documents verification payment which I immediately paid last April 30 using the original case number given by the NVC personnel. :(

And so today, I went to the office earlier than usual just so I can inform Delbros about the mishap and with God's grace, I was able to talked to Robbie and the misinformation has been resolved even before it cause us any problem. Robbie put an annotation on my documents verification record to validate the case number modification. He also didn't delete the original case number information I sent through text for future reference. He was so nice and very accommodating and even told me to call anytime in case I have further concerns about the documents verification process.

Lessons Learned:

- Ask the NVC agent to write down your receipt number so that he can properly look it up in their system

- Double check the information you gave by asking the NVC agent to tell you what your receipt number is just so you know he got it correctly

- Reiterate every detail you mentioned by telling him at least 3x or more what your receipt number is and what route you're taking (CR1/K3)

- Get the agent's name

- Write an email inquiry to NVC for a much documented confirmation

My husband and I think that the guy who got his call actually gave him our case number for CR1 is why this person insisted that they are the one's responsible in scheduling the interviews and not the petitioner nor the applicant. Absolutely absurd :bonk: because my husband even told him about the revised K3 packet for US Embassy Manila and the changes in the procedure. Oh well... I am just so grateful that this mistake didn't affect our application.

God Bless everyone
