Hello! Just letting you all know that my fiancé was approved for his visa today! I was able to go with him to the interview and everything went well. I was really nervous and had to ask the interviewer to speak to me in English, but other than that, we passes with flying colors! We were only asked 3 or 4 questions and they didn't want to see any of our evidence of our relationship (after all of the preparing)! The last question we were asked was if my fiancé had ever been to the U.S. When he said yes, the interviewer looked it up on the computer and told us we were approved! My mouth dropped open and the interview laughed at me a little. Who knew it would be so easy!

Also, one thing that I was so worried about was the Affadavit of Support. I am an English teacher here in Chile, so I don't make much money, but we have my father as a co-sponsor. As I am in Chile, I couldn't have my affadavit notarized in the states, I left it unsigned so that I could sign it infront of someone at the embassy. Well, the guy who interviewed us didn't even have me sign it! He told us we were approved and I asked him if he wanted me to sign it. He proceeded to tell me that the affadavit isn't even necessary because the K-1 isn't an immigrant visa, meanwhile I'm standing under a big sign that says, "Immigrant Visas." But, I'm guessing we have to fill it out because we'll need it when we adjust our status. Oh well. A lot of worry over nothing!

I'm so glad we can put this part behind us! Good luck to everyone else! It's a nerve-racking experience, but you'll make it! I'll post a review soon! Thanks so much to everyone here.. even though I don't post much, I read a lot and would have been lost without this site!
