Twitter: Does anyone use it?

I was thinking of creating a Twitter account (twitter.com). It has gotten very popular and seems useful but I was curious if anyone here had one and could share their experience. One neat thing is that if I was going out for a movie I could post via sms to my twitter account that I was headed to a movie and everyone that was subscribed to my twitter profile would get a sms saying "xyz is headed out to see Iron Man". Seems neat for social networking.

I have one and use it. It's actually pretty useful for texting people in foreign countries if they also have an account set up! Any message I send to Alex goes straight to his phone and he can reply for free. You're right; it's a good little networking tool if you know how to use it.

Yes! Of course it depends on your call plan; if you pay for your texts, even non-international ones, it will cost you. But most call plans include at least a certain number of free local texts these days.
