When you grow up watching playoff hockey every night every spring, it is hard to get used to not doing that anymore. So far I've only been able to catch some of the Sunday afternoon games on NBC and it just ain't the same. Don't mean to whine, but I'm sure there are some Canadians on here who know what I'm talking about. :crying:

I HATE miles, gallons, pints, words spelled without u's, and all that other jazz...

12/14 EAD card production ordered; AP approved

12/15 AOS transferred to CSC

12/22 AP arrives in mail

02/15/08 Green Card production ordered

02/25 Received Welcome letter in mail

02/28 Green card arrived in mail. Done with USCIS for now

01/12/10 Sent I-751 to California Service Center; arrived on 1/14/2010

02/09 Biometrics appointment in Michigan City, Indiana

02/10 Case updated

02/23 Received NOA

03/08 Card production ordered

03/10 ROC approval letter arrives

03/15 Ten year Green card arrives

02/17/12 Mailed citizenship application

DIRECTV offers an NHL package that shows most of the season't games. You can try to give them a call.

I have versus, so able to watch them!! yahoo showed of the first round games online for FREE!! They show 1-3 games a week for free online during the regular season, but I think you and I already discussed that,lol ( I seem to recall ur on dial up) otherwise another option may be to get the centre ice online package!! BUT last year after the first round they didnt many games!! I complained and got my $50 back!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

I watch em on Versus . We have digital cable . We also watch em on another channel too.called Altitude.

Too bad my team is out of the play offs now. :crying: But we still watch em every game thats on anyways.

Oh and P.S. I'm a girl and I love hockey! Grew up in Canada watching it with my 3 brothers. :dance:

August 4th/06 Our First Wedding Anniversary !!

Feb. 8th 08 Sent in Packet to remove conditions

Feb 23rd 08 Recieve NOA letter stating they are extending my Greencard for another year.

March 11th 08 biometrics appt.

May 29th 08 recieved email stating Card production ordered

June 7th 2008 10 yr card recieved.

I miss Hockey Night in Canada, and watching the Blue Jays. Oh, and TSN's curling coverage and coverage of figure skating.

Once Im complete with school, think i wil buy me a Slingbox and set it up on my parents system back in Saskatoon, thus I can get good old Canadian programming for free! The slingbox itself costs around $300, and of course one has to have high speed internet on both ends!!

I think you have to be a hockey fan to understand it. :) Well, as I got older and got jobs I watched it every night that I could but when I was younger I watched it every night. It's a Canadian hockey fan thing. And I miss it. :(

Yeah I remember talking with you about that. We are catching up on our bills right now from when I wasn't allowed to work and hope to get high speed in the summer. Can't wait.

That sucks that they pulled that ####### on you and I'm glad you got your money back. Way to go.

Was pretty easy getting my $$$ back, I was surprised!! I just sent 1 email stating why I wanted it back and that was it!!

Red wings next game and if philly wins,wil be shown on NBC this sat/sun. belive both games are in afternoon
