hi evrybody ;

we wonder how cases are classified at Igor's listy, caus, we filed our 129f on the 7th December but got our Noa1 only on the 4th February, means after 2 months . we are now the 42 on Igor's list , but we think the list should be classified according to when you got your Noa1 not when you filed, that's just a point of view we may be wrong, because ppl who got their noa1 in january should be before us not behind us, if someone have an explanation it'll be nice:). thanks

Igor's List

This is compiled from VJ data to give those waiting something else to check - it certainly helped me feel like I was getting somewhere while my case was gathering dust on a shelf.

noa1s may not come ever(get lost or something), but that wouldn't mean you didn't send your petition, right?

I believe the logic of that is that USCIS officially says that they process petitions by the date received and NOT by the date of the NOA1. As someone else said, NOA1's can get lost in the mail or they don't go out right away. The NOA1 is nice to have, but has nothing to do with your processing time or order. The more accurate judge of which petitions come where is by the filed date.

I am the beneficiary so I dont know for sure what I am about to say but doesn't the NOA1 has a date on it? And if so, isn't that the date the NOA1 has been issued (I suppose they do issue them by date received)? In that case I can only think that he OP is right with saying it should be sorted on NOA1 date :)

But the date that most people list on their timeline is the date they received the NOA1 in the mail. So it's a really good indicator of how fast the mail system worked for your area...but not a very good indication of what USCIS is doing.

It depends on the date on your NOA1. If it is December and your hard copy was mailed only in two months, it means that you are still considered to be December filer. But if your NOA1 is dated February 4… sorry to say but most likely you will be getting NOA2 together with February filers :( .

We sent the petition to CSC on October 16 but our NOA1 is dated December 19 (we got it after my fiancé called there a couple of times :angry: ). We've got the confirmation from UPS that the package was delivered to CSC on October 18, BUT the receive date on NOA1 is December 17 and the notice date is December 19. I guess, our petition was just gathering dust on the shelf for those two months until they finally bothered to find it after my fiancé’s call. So, even though we are #9 on Igor's list, we are definitely considered to be December filers and we are still waiting for NOA2.

6 December 2008 - our wedding!!!

3 January 2009 - AOS package sent to Chicago lockbox

5 January - document received by USCIS

8 January - 3 NOAs issued (485, 765, 131)

12 January - NOA hard copies received by mail

13 January - AOS, EAD touched

19 January AP touched

10 February - placed a service request regarding biometrics appointment

23 February - biometrics appointment issued

11 March - AP approved and approval notice sent

14 March - biometrics at San Marcos ASC

16 March - EAD card production ordered

16 March - AP received in the mail

16 March - AOS touched

26 March - EAD received in the mail

9 April - Invitation for the interview received in the mail (issued 6 April)

13 May - AOS INTERVIEW!!! APPROOVED!!!!

15 May - Card production ordered!

21 May - Welcome Notice received in the mail

15 June - Card production ordered again

22 June - Green Card received in the mail!!! Woohoo!!! (dated 13 May 2009)

hi;

Yess that's what exactly happened to us :) same like you, only after several calls that the CSC checked our package and sent us the NOA1 after 2 months. Hope they dont do that with the NOA2. Thanks and good luck for evrybody .
