To post a picture in this website is between you and your husband. Don't worry about what others have to say about it.

Thank you for stirring the pot Charles

I was just trying to do the decent thing and not call someone out, but as you've done, not much I can do about it now

For the record my husband is Muslim and I am also - long before I ever knew him, for most of my life - I just wish that other people would mind their own business and live their own lives, outside of the shadows of judging others.

That's true West Philly style GG!! I LOVE YOU GIRL! hehe

As this person messaged you privately about the matter, I would think that it would be best to deal with the matter privately.

IMO it was nice that he did not call you out in a thread. I've seen others tell people straight up publicly that their photos gross them out and the thread usually doesn't end pretty, as I'm sure will be the case for this one.

I don't really care.... In my opinion the world would be a much better place if others would just mind their own business.. If you're going to go through the effort to PM someone (yes it was PM ) just to take the time out of your day to do that - I mean ya salem you can't find anything better to do with your time? I haven't said anything horribly awful, although lots of choice things have come to mind, I'm going to take the high road and not result to low level insults and what I really want to say...

You post what you are comfortable with. If people do not want to see the picture they can ignore it or switch off the signature.

Its as easy as that.

Don't let it bother you...there are all kinds of people in this world.

And since when has kissing one's spouse been against Islam? How can having a picture that shows you kissing be disrespectful?

There will be 1000 arguments for it - If it's okay not okay, haram not haram, whatever... But I do agree, it's an easy ignore thing - I've seen lots of pictures and posts on this board I don't agree with, but never went out of my way to message someone about - I figure last time I checked I do live in the US and freedom of speech is my right - For those who aren't okay with that, ####### off.

I don't think kissing one's spouse is against Islam at all - And the picture is clearly not disrespectful in my mind, we are married, in love, and both fully clothed. My husband reads the board and all my posts and has my password for the page, we have no issues between us what so ever. But now will come the arguments of some people being more "Muslim" than he and I -

Don't judge me and I won't judge you, we'll all be judged in the end.

I agree.

Although it would be totally tempting to take down ALL photos except this one, and then make the avatar a close-up of it.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.
