CENOMAR- Certificate of No Marriage. As the meaning implies, this is only required for those who have not been married yet in their lifetime and are being petitioned under a K1 visa.

It is not required for those who have been married and obtained and annulment and are now being petitioned as a fiancee since there has been a previous marriage. What they will obtain is a copy of their marriage certificate where the finality of the annulment has been annotated.

Since you are already married, and being petition as a spouse, then a Certificate of No Marriage is not required because your proof will be your marriage certificate.

As long as the NSO has recorded the marriage after the local registrar has sent it in, you will get a CEMAR (Certificate of Marriage) even if you apply for a CENOMAR. The CEMAR will show your marriage.

Get the CENOMAR but since your married NSO will issue you the CEMAR..

In alot of cases in CR-IR they don't ask for this.. But its always good to be prepared..

I've never heard of a consular officer asking a "Certificate of NO marriage" from a CR1(married) case.

your married all you need is your marriage certificate so dont worry about it wont affect anything not having it

no need to secure one. USEM will have your NSO records anyway once you pay the document verification fee prior to your interview date.
