Some Questions About Supporting Documents to Bring in the Interview

Hello Everybody!

We are currently preparing our documents for our forthcoming interview. But we are wondering about the following:

1) Some items mentioned to show proof of ongoing relationship are documents such as emails, chats and phone calls. How do you guys printed out all your emails exchanges? Do you have it copy - pasted in MS Word or do you have it printed right away from the email account? I have transferred all the emails to one MS Word Document highlighting the email header and email body content only and planning to print it. Or is it better I print it directly from email showing the email account layout at the background? I am wondering, which is better way of printing the email. I know this is such a simple question, but I want to make sure that our papers are presented the right way. :help:

2) How many pages of emails and chats need to be printed and showed? Is there a need to have it all printed? :help:

3) How many pictures showing us together need to be presented? We only have few pictures as my fiance is camera-worried and just have very few. :help:

4) About the Police Clearance and CENOMAR (Certificate of Singleness), how long is it valid? Is mine still valid dated April 2, 2008 come by our interview on June 2008 ? :help:

Any replies will be highly appreciated. Many thanks and God bless us all.

"Distance makes the heart grow fonder." Well, our heart have always and will continue to be quite fond of. Distance doesn't matter if you really love the person, what matters most is your honesty and trust for that relationship to work out. We may not get to see as often as we like, we may not get to hold each other in arms all through the night. But deep in our heart we truly know, we are meant for each other, the one to spend our life with forever!

I hope these answers will help you...

1, 2. As far as ongoing proof, I printed just about every email that we exchanged. I printed them right from the email account, as it does show date (important as they will want to see relationship progression) I printed about 275+ from the time of the I-129F until the NOA2. I will also have Lada print the emails from the NOA2 until her interview. This will be about another 75-100 emails. I want to give the CO no reason to deny her based on any ongoing relationship issues.

3. Pictures..general rule of them what I can tell is around 10 should be suffucient. If you have less, but the are date/time stamped, then that should be fine. Your other supporting docs will compensate.

4. The Police Cert is valid for 1 year from issuance. Your cert is fine!

Good Luck!!!

I hope a moderator will move this to the K-1 Forum as I expect you will get more useful responses there than in the Removing Conditions forum. Good luck at your interview.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Don't do an overkill - just think that you will be interviewed for less than 5 minutes (2 or 3 is the norm) - mu fiance took 5 emails and 5 chat records (no pictures - the only ones we had were sent with the petition) - they only looked at one email for 3 seconds. These can help if they don't believe in the genuineness of your relationship - but even then they are not going to look at hundreds of emails just a few and then either approve you or deny you. Good Luck

(3). I submitted 10 pictures. Taken with digital camera, printed out on photo paper 2 per page. I wrote date and place above the pictures-- my camera doesn't embed timestamps into image.

275 + and then another 100 + ????? :o Yeah, that may be just a tad overkill.

Just a few of each will be fine, afterall... all of these things can be easily manufactured and don't really 'prove' anything with certainty. ;) Just print a handful (in whatever format you choose as long as it shows the header with send/receive dates) that span the length of your communication. Same with pictures.

good luck!
