hi I have a simple question about CR-1 visa....

I just want to make sure I have everything I need before I submit the paperworks

1.Payment personal check $355

2. Cover Letter.

3. Form I-130: Petition for Alien Relative

4. Copy of the full Birth certificate

5. A copy of your marriage certificate (If not inEnglish then again get a translation)

6.Certificate (as divorce paper)

7. G-325A (all four pages) filled out by the US Citizen signed and dated

8. One passport-type photo

9. G-325A (all four pages) filled out by the non-US Citzen spouse signed and dated

10. One passport-type photo (see specification) of the non-US Citzen spouse.

15. Evidence of a bonafide marriage

Phone bills,bank account statement ,passport copy

Am I missing anything??

I have pics from our ceremony and also pics with family....and I can ask my husband's boss and friends to write some letters...do I need any letter from my side of family in japan?

when I send pics do I need to write date and place on back of the pics??

The letters in my language ,do they have to be translated and notarized also???

ours were translated by my husband but we didnt notarize, be sure the person signing also gives address and phone

For us his family just spoke of my trips there and how they approved of the marriage and his friends just spoke of the times we spent with them etc my family here just spoke of having talked to him (since they have never met) etc just whatever they feel like saying......maybe your embassy is not as hard as ours but for us it is important that the family is involved and approve so we did the letters with the application and will prob do again at the interview.

For the bonafide marriage requirement, I only submitted 7 pictures. My case got approved. If you think they'll doubt anything, then yes please go ahead send in more evidence.

From what Im getting advice from ppl,I guess I will just send phone bills , joint bank account statement,passport copy and some pics of our ceremony and party....hopefully thats enough.......

I may be wrong, but I think you need to send 2 passport size photograph of both USC and non-USC and have to write name at the back of the photograph.
