 Of course! I'm going to take a week or two off work. I have a huge family that are all eager and waiting to greet him with open arms. My Dad asked me what I was going to do first and I said, hug and kiss him of course, to which he said don't eat all of him, save some for us to meet! hehe I'm just really excited- the phone calls have been rolling in all day from friends and family - Really good to have a support system like I do have here. My father and brothers are planning fishing trips galore - My Dad is a big fly fisher and my mom is already cooking - She's gone to the halal meat market here and bought everything and she's cooking up a storm, trying out new recipes even though I told her we don't have an exact date yet! :luv:

Oh! that will be great! I took a week off work and we went to go see my parents and then I showed him around a bit in our local area. Sounds like you're going to have a great ammount of activities for him which is always good. He'll try to sleep at odd times when he first gets here so you kind of have to keep him up a bit to get him to adjust to the time zone... but i let Dh take some naps here and there.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

Because of time difference, he'll be sleepy at odd times. But surely, it will be very exciting for him to see his wife and her family.

MOST arabs ARE very conservative even if they aren't the cleanest of minds. I'd just let Abdo talk and talk until he gives it up unless everyone enjoys the drama?

I don't want to get off topic but kissing in public it's a form of disrespect to everyone around you and alot of people have gotten accustomed to thinking it's normal. In MENA countries they don't kiss on lips as a form of Respect for ones self ,family name, and country. In my opinion if I really loved and respected my spouse I wouldn't show him off to the world like that and kiss him and everybodys watching. That's private intimate details that don't need to be shown off. I'm talking for the majority not the minorities who do otherwise. And that is not to be taken in any offense.

Abdo you will even see in a restaurant where you are to eat and other families and kids are there people will makeout/kiss infront of everybody. It's everyones choice of their respect if they want to keep it or not. You can't judge anybody or their beliefs. If she were to judge you you'd get some nasty comebacks yourself.

بحبك يا حبيبي اكمني بهواك و بحس انك مني

my messages/posts/topics adressed to muslim people ,when they say that they are muslim but they dont know about ISLAM like ash..,i can see her pictures with her husband ,she does know that is not good in islam to share those kind of pics and is not good to show her body on the internet.

im just trying to help her know, but i can see she is a nerveus person and se gets upset at me now

Abdo, I am sure in your ' religion ' it states it is not up to us to cast judgement toward others. You are such an awesome witness for Islam that perhaps maybe I would consider, shall we say, a conversion?

The real shame is in perpetuating your sloppy finger pointing . Check yourself first, then repent before the Almighty.

but isn't it just as sloppy when you do it to him? YOU are in a position to be telling other individuals when and what they need to repent? apparently the irony of that is completely lost on the majority of people responding in this thread. yeah for abdo showing how easy it is to drag so many people right into the gutter with him.

OMG

I know you still must feel it isnt true!

I am so happy for you and I didnt realize you were so close to his interview.

Thank you for sharing the details and I hope the same happiness comes for me and my baby

on May 15th. This is a CR1 visa we are talking about, right?

I cant believe he had someone so nice.

I just sent my husband all the documents needed from my side today, DHL..unbelievable the cost for a pile of papers! He had his medical again yesterday. So everything is falling into place.

I hope this dream becomes a reality.. I hope we can start our life together soon.

Good luck to you both. Bon Voyage Jihed

YOU ARE WELCOME

To Ashley... your comment was so well spoken and I agree wholeheartedly! Cheers sister!:star:

To Abdo: Sir you are in for a *very* rude awakening when you get to America. I hope you realize one day just how foolish you are. This is the very reason I *never* expressed any congratulations to you in your visa thread... Frankly, I'm not thrilled about you coming to USA and am pretty thankful that you won't be living anywhere near me. I pray for your sake that you are in an area that is as uptight as you are. Otherwise someone will be dealing out some serious doses of American freedom on you.

AGREED!

and CONGRATS Ash!!!
