350 for a wallet.... you guyz are crazy....

(i feel bad just getting one that cost 30$!... and my max would be around a 100$ one!)

And this is whatever i am earning !

It would be funny to compare what we would consider as average for certain items...

let me start... (various i am thinking about...add yours as you wish too)

wallet : 30$

new computer (screen and windows include) : 3000 $

vacuum cleaner : 200$

A good pair of shoes : 80/100 $ (need to be very good at that price)

A trip to the hairdresser : 250 $ (cut, colors with highlight, brushing)

A pants : 30 to 80$ depending on quality

A bikini wax : 50$

what is yours !

Looks like I came a little late on this topic -- but wanted to say that I've heard it a few times from acquitances. But another common comment I heard was: "Have you seen "Not Without My Daughter"?" *sighs* Anyone heard this comment?

When I went to Jordan, my parents also made me call often, they would have liked it if I called every hour. Too much feeding off from the media or mass emails (kidnapped and chopped up into pieces, etc etc)

But I also notice that even the beneficiaries are getting "negative comments" too -- fiance has told me how some people are saying "she is just using you" (huh?! ) Also, hearing comments about how dangerous America really is.

It's all about the media coverage, that's all I can say.

$3000 for a computer?! Whaaaa? I say $1500 at the most....

Wallet: $15. (yes I'm a cheap-o)

Jeans: $45 for a good pair (I just learned of "Seven" jeans, but never heard of it before -- EVERY ONE of my students acknowledged it when we discussed brand names, how much are those?)

Eyebrow Threading: $15 (includes tip)

Lunch: $10

Sorry it took me so long to respond guys, I was out spending a gross amount of money on luxury items for the soul purpose of showing my superiority to my peers and bask in their envy.

no, but, actually, the more you talk, the more I find that I AM envious of you... I mean, who wouldn't be?

I was going to respond, but that really hit the nail on the head!

I think we should all move in with him. That would be lots of fun!

My apartment is too small for all of you. Maybe next year. :P

It's a shame you can't afford anything more fitting.
