fees for fingerprints

at the interview do we have to pay for fingerprinting??????

Hello!

No the fingerprinting is included in the IV fee.

If there are some extra expenses keep a small amount of money but from many applicants of India I have not heard of anyone having to pay extra (outside of IV fee) fro fingerprints.

True, there are no extra fingerprinting fees.

ALSO CHECK OUT THIS WEBSITE: There is a seperate fingerprinting fee here. For my husband I paid the combination fee so he did not have to pay for fingerprinting. If in doubt he can carry the 85 rupee.

This fee is probably for DV only so dont worry about it. you do NOT have to pay a fee.

thank you all...just the lab and medical fees and possible extras keep adding up, when i saw fingerprinting fees i thought "will this flow of money ever end????"

Indianheart, good luck to your interview on June 6th !!!

These could be the fee.

1) Courier fee Rs.365 by cash for passport delivery to VFS (This is in Chennai, I don't know for other Consulates)

2) Medical Fee by Cash - anywhere from Rs.4,000 to Rs.10,000

3) Demand Draft of $65 for Immigrant Visa issuance fee in favor of the respective Consulate General

Final Note

The visas are affixed inside each passport and the applicant is given a sealed envelope which should be hand carried,

UNOPENED, to the United States and submitted to the immigration inspector at the U.S. port-of-entry.

If the sealed envelope is opened prior to arrival in the United States, the immigrant visa fee of $400 must be paid

again at the American Consulate and a new sealed envelope will be handed over to the applicant.

Thank you very much...the nerves have started already, seems like everyday we think of something new to take care of ahead of time such as travel to and from Chennai and when to leave in order to get all the medicals and VFS fees taken care of ect........

where did you get your information on the fees for medical...I have looked at embassy website and they are quoting 700rs for physical with possible additional fees of 3300rs for immunizations needed, 800rs for lab fees with 9000rs for possible additional lab tests, the courier fees of 365rs and the issuance fees????? I beleive those were all included in the 400$ paid for IV fee bill paid to NVC (this is according to what NVC told me).
