I am going through a rough time with getting the police report. I wont be able to get the police report before i receive the packet 3 because the copy of embassy letter is needed in order to apply. Can anybody tell me When is the Police Report needed??? Is it when we send back the Packet 3 or Packet 4 or during the Interview??? Thanks for your help.

ANA I do not know much about K-1 process but mine is CR-1 and I too faced a similar problem. Police certificate in my case will be needed at the National Visa Center NVC when there will compile all original documents and once ready, they will forward them to the US embassy in Islamabad for the interview inshaAllaah.

I'm in KHI so instead of Attaching a letter from the Embassy or institution stating the requirement of the police certificate, I have given them a copy of my I-130 petition approval and a copy of the list of documents required by the NVC (which I found at the website of US Department of State).

my certificate is under process but inshaAllaah should be made in a day or two. Hope this would be helpful.

you'd need to bring a copy of Police certificate for the interview too.
