Evidence of Bonafide Relationship

Hi all,

My K1 visa interview is scheduled for 13th May and now I am preparing all the evidence to prove ongoing and bonafide relationship. I have a bunch of chat logs, emails, cards, Parcel tracking receipts, hotel receipts, photos and phone statement. Now, I am wondering if the Interview officer will take away the originals from me and won't return to me after the interview? Should I make copies of them just in case?

Lastly.... will these evidence be used again for AOS later on?

Thanks a lot in advance and all replies are appreciated :)

Cheers! :star:

Make copies of everything because sometimes they do keep the originals, other times they don't. Better to be safe then sorry if you want to keep any of the documentation.

I would make copies. It depends on the CO what they want to keep.

ETA: For AOS you will need proof of your marriage.

Make duplicate copies of everything just in case they will ask the original. Most of the time they will only ask 1 or 2 photos and sometimes they wont even look for the letters or phone bills. Just bring everything including the duplicates. As for the AOS, you dont need to use them again. AOS has different requirements with regards to evidence of Bonafide relationship.

GOOD Luck

Thank you soo much for your replies!!!!! :star:

One more question.... my fiance is sending me a notarized and more recent Letter of Intent to Marry so I could bring it to the interview and do I need to prepare one for myself or just his letter will suffice?

Thanks again!!! You guys rock!!!

None of the evidence you are talking about needs to be saved for later. I would suggest don't make copies unless you have an attachment to it. Your evidence for AOS (greencard) etc. will be very different from this. A letter of intent from you is not needed as you will be there at the interview. Good Luck ... and don't kill trees needlessly - your carbon print is growing!
