Wow, Silvy what was the final tally on donations?

Nice bikes!

I used to volunteer with Red Cross in Canada and helped organize some of the blood donor clinics in high school (volunteer helpers). Also donated regularly until my anemia was severe enough to essentially have them telling me that I just shouldn't even bother trying. I did donate platelets once...that was an interesting experience and one that, while it was extremely painful (the vein they put the blood back into collapsed and it took them some time to sort that out) made me feel really good to know a burn victim was going to receive a boost from lil ol me! I'm always amazed at how few people are on the registry for things like bone marrow etc.

Good on ya! :)

Electricity is really just organized lightning.

Thanks for the link to the newspaper article. It looks like it was a great day for all with the funds and units of blood collected.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

They don't want my blood either :crying: I lived in England during the mid-eighties for six months. It's a shame because I have one of the more uncommon blood types, AB+. Hopefully someday they will be able to take our blood.
