K2- extension

Hello everyone,

I brought my fiancee about 2 weeks ago to the U.S using a K1 visa. She also has a daughter and has an approved K2 visa but stayed in Peru which is where they are from. The problem is that her daughter's visa expires on July 13, 2008 to come to the U.S and there is a big chance she cannot come until after that date.

My question is if we can request an extension for the K2 visa?.

I also read about an advanced parole for her to go and pick up her daughter but i think it takes like 5 months to get that approved so i thought about a visa extension. I will appreciate any answers. Thanks in advance.

i have the same predicament with my boys.their visas will expire on july and they wont be coming here til november.so i checked the embassy website and it says there that, i need to send back the visas since i have it, to the immigrant section with a letter stating why i cant use the visa as of this time and would want to get a reissuance or extension, whichever applies.check with the embassy website in peru and go to the immigrant section.hope this will help you.
