Love it  I eat more though of the other kind, Balut Penoy.

What is Balut Penoy vs Balut?

A balut is a fertilized duck (or chicken) egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell.Balut are most often eaten with a pinch of salt, though some balut-eaters prefer chili and vinegar to complement their egg.

Duck eggs that are not properly developed after nine to twelve days are sold as penoy, which look, smell and taste similar to a regular hard-boiled egg. In Filipino cuisine, these are occasionally beaten and fried, similar to scrambled eggs, and served with a vinegar dip.

I ate it when I was there and surprisingly found it actually very tasty. I really didn't like the liquid you had to drink that much though. Who else liked balut?

I LOVE BALUT,.. (wait, i think i saw you both during my interview last April 29,. u look familiar to me cuz of ur picture here in VJ,.)

Anywho.. Last September 2007, i had a very bad BALUT experience... I ate balut and that was the first time i developed allergy with eggs,... i was brought to the Hospital, because i had a hard time breathing.. i was flushing and became unconscious. The doctor told me that i am allergic with the food that i ate.. so from then on, i can't eat Balut, eggs, and chicken,..and because of that, St. Lukes did not give me a shot of MMR cuz it's contraindicated to those who have hypersensitivity with eggs..

I'm actually very sad cuz i can't eat Balut anymore...

:(

You probably did see me. We were there April 29th do redo the finger scanning. I was the really young looking American :P Did you notice it was me when you were there? Or did you notice after the fact? You should have said hi :P

when i was waiting for my final interview, i saw you guys sitting,.. and i think u look familiar,. i know ur from here(VJ),. i really wanted to say hi,. but i was very nervous for the interview... and i'm shy also...

yes you look like 16 years old.. hehhe....
