Have you applied for an SSN? While worrying about something you can't do right now, i.e. work, you might think about taking a train or if you prefer, driving to your local SSA office to apply for an SSN.

Yes, I already had one. I studied in the US 4 years ago. By the way I wonder if I have to do anything with SSA, maybe tell them I am back with a K1 visa?

Unless your name has changed since the card was issued, the card has "NOT VALID FOR EMPLOYMENT" printed on it or you want to replace the card due to it being lost or damaged, there is no need to contact SSA now. SSA doesn't care if you turned into a K-9. LOL

Once you have an I-551 stamp or card you can then apply for an unrestricted SSN card.
