Timeline
hi VJ's!!

I heard nothing about my GC yet....is it possible that they (knock on wood!) lost my application? Is there any other way to request for a case expedite?

Hi Sheree, your timeline shows that you received your NOA1 - so they have your application. When it comes to AOS, there is a huge range of timelines - some people take a few months and other poor souls have taken years. (I'm sure that won't happen to you!) I know quite a few of the May filers have gotten their green cards, but lots of us have heard nothing since biometrics. All we can do is wait...

***********************************

October 5, 2007 - K-1 Application mailed to CSC

October 11, 2007 - NOA1

February 27, 2008 - NOA2

April 29, 2008 - Interview - approved!!

May 6, 2008 - Arrived in the US

May 23, 2008 - Married!

***********************************

May 29, 2008 - AOS mailed

June 4, 2008 - NOA1!

June 25, 2008 - Biometrics

August 11, 2008 - AP Approved

August 14, 2008 - EAD Approved

October 28, 2008 - Interview - Approved!

Timeline

I'm one of those in a long wait... haven't received any feedback yet about my AOS. A lot of May filers having identical timeline with mine already got their appointment letter for the interview and some got the approval already... It's so frustrating to know nothing of what's going on with my case... :(

I'm wondering, can I make inquiries at USCIS at this stage now? I mean, would they entertain my inquiry? It's more than three months already... I'm wondering if I can call them and ask about the progress of my case...

THE K-1 PROCESS

June 14, 2007: Sent I-129F to Texas Service Center (but case was transferred to CSC)

June 27, 2007: Receipt Notice Date

December 10, 2007: Case received at NVC

December 12, 2007: Case is forwarded to US Embassy!

January 2, 2008: Pay Delbros for Document Verification

January 8, 2008: CFO Seminar

January 23-24, 2008: Early Medical (Original Sched is Feb. 1, 2008)

February 8, 2008: Interview Date (6:30AM)

February 15, 2008: Received Visa :-)

February 27, 2008: Fly to USA... POE: JFK - New York... :-)

March 14, 2008: Applied for SSN

April 18, 2008: Wedding Day :-)

THE AOS PROCESS

June 12, 2008: Biometric Appointment (USCIS Raleigh - Durham, NC)

June 12, 2008: AOS and EAD touched!

July 19, 2008: AP Approved! Approval is sent!

Hello,

Congrats to Beng! And to all those starting their jobs!!

Also good news on our front. Finally, 30 days after our first inquiry about the biometrics, they sent my husband an appointment letter. It was today, so that means 115 days after he filed the EAD he had his biometrics, BUT the great news is that 2 1/2 hours after his appointment I got an email saying the EAD card production had been ordered!!

FINALLY!!!

So, given our history, my answer to the people anxious about their AOS: I know it feels like they've lost it, especially when so many people are flying through ahead of us, but it's just a luck of the draw system. There is no real rhyme or reason to when things get processed. You can try to file an inquiry, but they probably won't let you since we're all within the processing times. I know it's not the answer anyone wants, (or at least I never want to hear it!) but it's just a waiting game. Good luck!

But for today. YAY! :P

I-129F sent 7/2007

I-129F approved 2/2008

Marriage: 5/3/08

AOS:

5/19/08 AOS & EAD Filed

5/25/08: NOA1s

7/28/08: Requested an inquiry after 60+ days & no biometrics appt. (or touches)!!

8/27/08: Received response to inquiry and biometrics appt.

9/11/08: Biometrics

9/11/08: EAD card production ordered

9/30/08: 2nd Biometrics (no reason given for second appt.)

1/22/09: AOS Interview - Approved!

Just thought I'd add to the info database... I just received my wife's interview letter 4 days ago. They received our app on May 19th, 08 but the NOA is dated August 29th so I guess that makes only 3 months, 10 days to review the case and send the invitation. Lot less than I had originally anticipated. And, I've heard some May filers already have their GC??? Wow, USCIS is really working at it. I'm excited!!!!
