Hi all,

We finally got our AP document (after we took the vacation on which we wanted to leave the country, but oh well), and more importantly our EAD! What a relief.

One thing about the USCIS system that you guys should watch out for: I was not notified via email before the documents were received nor were my case statuses updated online when they were being processed recently. So things might be moving along for your cases even if you've received no email/online updates.

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Request for Additional Evidence Sent

On August 22, 2008, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

....So i guess they need more evidence... I can understand this. I knew I might be missing something... BUT... My question is why have they sent me this today:

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: DOCUMENT OTHER THAN CARD OR TRAVEL DOCUMENT MAILED TO APPLICANT

On September 3, 2008, your document I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was processed and mailed to the address on record.

it's been two weeks already since we sent our response to the rfe and still there's no any indication or anything from the uscis saying that they received.

We are certainly disappointed and depressed in this kind of goverment service that they are providing!!!

We don't have any clue where to send these complaints!!!

Have you called USCIS and made an inquiry? It seemed to have helped in our case..

...has it been 90 days since you filed your EAD? cuz if it is, you should make an infopass ASAP.

I checked your timeline and I suggest you call USCIS regarding your EAD cuz it's been over 90 days already. You should've gotten your ead approved weeks ago.
