Received the work permission in the mail today. Finally we can apply for SSN and drivers license. Whew!!!

We haven't had the EAD touched since biometrics, AP case isn't even online at all, and the AOS case was transferred to CSC after RFE, but no approval on that, yet. The AOS has had a ton of touches as you can probably tell from my signature. We're just hanging in here trying to be patient. Again, congrats to everyone!

We got our AP letter in the mail today, so one down and two to go. Officially we can now leave the country, but no money since I dont have a job.. come on EAD!!!

Congrats!!! We received our EAD card in the mail too, and we have to just change the restriction on my SSN card as it shows "Valid for Work Only with DHS Authorization" and has still my maiden name on it. Goin to DMV as well to renew my permit as it was only good for 1 month of driving.

Hello everyone! Below is my timeline...

History: AOS based on an approved I-130- daughter of a lawful permanent resident - Petitioned under 21 and aged out before my priority became available and eligible for adjsutment of status... From F2A to F2B category- Luckily, on my vacation in 2001 i was sponsored and able to work in the US with an H1B Visa for 6 years... I waited 11 years to be able to adjust status!! Yup! 11 yrs!!!

Anyway, good luck everyone! Remember: Patience is a Virtue!!

4/30/08-FEDEXed (priority) forms I-485, I-765- & I-131

5/01/08 (Thurs.)-Forms recvd for/by Chyba

5/08/08 -Check deposited

5/09/08 (Fri.)-Check cleared bank (7th bus. day fr rcpt of forms)

5/09/08 (Fri.)- NOA for each form

5/12/08 (Mon.)- Apptment Letter-Biometrics for I-764 & I-485

5/29/07-Biometrics Apptmt (21st bus. day)@ 3pm-(got there 2pm-DONE by 2:15pm)

6/02/08- Registered for automatic update

7/11/08-Rcvd email from Chris: 1765-Card Prod Ordered; I-131 Approval letter sent

7/16/08 -2nd Email from Chris: 1765-Card Prod Ordered

7/18/08- Cris: EAD Approval Notice Sent

7/19/08-Rcvd Form I-512L-Advance Parole

7/21/08-Rcvd EAD- Picture Horrible!! By the way, envelope didnt have USCIS letterhead so be careful.

Our AOS (K1/K2) got transfered to the CSC on July 25th

Congrats to you!! Lucky you got your case transferred. Ours havent gotten transferred and Im hoping so that I wouldnt have to go to another interview. We did get our EAD and AP in hand and going to DMV next week to get my drivers learner's permit extend as it had expired already, and got to change my restrictions on my SS card since Im authorized to work now. Just applied for some nursing jobs hope I get a job within this month.

You can only change the restriction with the GC. Your EAD is the DHS authorization.

Thank you so much, i am happy that this part of the journey is a bit smoother than the K1 application. I corss my fingers for you to get a job very soon and with some prayers you might get transfered as well so don't loose hope.

I haven't apply for the DL yet cause my hubby wasn't in town and i really don't want to drive to the DMV by myself I am still using my german DL but now that hubby is back, we will go there sometime next week to get my VA DL.
