Hello guys. I just had my biometrics appointment this morning. It took me two hours inside the ASC Office coz the lady guard who was checking my documents directed me to talk to an immigration officer because of my changed last name since I filed using my new married name. And when I was talking to the officer, he changed the last name on my form and put my maiden name on it after checking his computer. And I told him, I applied using my new married name. But he said, what we have on our record is your maiden name. So, i just let him change it. But after a minute and after he asked me how I came here, he changed my name on the form again to my married name. He was so confusing. It made me dizzy for a while coz I didn't have my breakfast yet.

And then, I asked him if my biometrics will also cover for my I-765 application since I applied it at the same time with the AOS coz my ASC letter only states the AOS Case number. But he answered no. I should wait for another biometrics appointment for that. Oh my goodness. I don't know why this is happening. but let's see what's gonna happen next coz I already did my service request for biometrics for the i-765 last july 11.

God bless us all and Congrats to those who have been approved already.

Wow, crazy time you had Beng! Our biometrics were very smooth, in-and-out about 15 minutes. We filed in Beth's maiden name mostly because I wasn't sure it was ok to use the married name yet. We'll change it all later once everything is done. Hopefully the confused officer who did your biometrics won't cause any delays with the name changing business....

We filed a little before you, Beth got the USCIS email notice yesterday that her green card has been ordered so we should see it in a week or two. And today we got the email stating a letter has been mailed welcoming the new permanent resident! After filing our AOS it was transfered to CSC, never any mention of an interview. We also got an RFE yesterday for the i-765 application for employment thing (we missed a signature on one line) so we will send it back with a signature. My question is, if you already have your green card do you even need the employment thing? I thought that was just so you could work until you receive the green card. right?

Anyway, glad to see things are moving along with your AOS! Just be patient...

hi soon-to-be-dad mike! Hehe. Well, BIG CONGRATS on your AOS approval! I think, you don't need to have a work permit since you already have her GC. But still, submit whatever they are asking from you.

I have faith that the officer's confusion on my new last name won't matter coz he still put my married name on the form. He was just really confused.

Thanks a lot and God bless us.Congrats again! So happy for you guys! Miss you both! Hi to buntis!

Its good to hear that your case is moving along even with its imperfections. In a month you'll probably be laughin about your unique experience at the local office. We'll just pray you dont need two biometrics... as they already seem to be "touching" your case.

Hi all

My case was transferred to the CSC today after receiving a RFE on my I864. No news on my AP or EAD yet. Any ideas on how long it takes to have your AOS approved after transfer? Is that a "how long is a piece of string?" question?
