Hi there, I haven't really posted but I am now! I have seen a few that already have card production ordered! Thats great!! Congrats to you! :)

Of course, ours is going to take longer like it has right from the beginning. We applied May 22 and we JUST got an RFE on Saturday asking for 12 months worth of bank statements. I am relying on my assets since I do not make enough money to meet the income requirement because I have been going to school for the past year and a half. I have enough to meet the 5x 125% of poverty level requirement in the bank, and have had that amount for the past year. I didn't know to include 12 months of bank statements, originally I just included a letter from a bank officer stating my total deposits for the year and how much is in my account presently. We mailed back the bank statements today. We were hoping to have his EAD by sometime in August, but now it looks like it will be delayed til September. He's beginning to get a little antsy just sitting around, he's more than ready to start working!

I am just glad for this part of the process he's here, and it isn't anywhere near as stressful as it was before he got here, but its still a bit frustrating waiting for the government wheels to turn.

Hope everyone is having a nice summer!

Jennifer :)

Hi Jennifer, everything will work out and exactly! He's with you here rather than xxxx number of miles away! =)

I don't think it should be an issue with you going to school.....those assets should be good enough.....if your husband has employment lined up and waiting for his EAD, maybe a letter of intent from the employer might help too?

Crossing my fingers for you!

JenK, the RFE should not affect your EAD petition(I-765). The I-864 Affidavit of Support goes with the AOS petition(I-485). But who knows with USCIS?
