Does everyone get transferred? What does it mean if you do or don't?

Most of us should have a transfer date which means no interview scheduled for AOS filing. If you are the lucky ones, and your case isn't transferred, you will have to appear before USCIS officials to get your AOS approval. Most of the time, people who get the AOS interviews are randomly selected cases for QC assurance (at least thats what Ive heard on this forum).

Lets just pray we all get our cases transferred.

K1s are much more likely to get the interviewless CSC AOS approval than the K3s. K1s have been married a few months at most when their AOS is filed, so they won't have much to produce at an interview. K3s going without interview is much more rare.

04/16/2007 - Sent I-130 to VSC via USPS Express Mail

05/12/2007 - NOA1 received by snail mail after a loooong wait

05/14/2007 - Sent I-129F for K3 to Chicago Lockbox via USPS Express Mail

10/22/2007 - I129F APPROVED (161 days), I130 APPROVED (188 days)

11/08/2007 - I129F received at NVC, embassy case number generated.

11/13/2007 - I129F forwarded to embassy.

11/18/2007 - 129F petition received at embassy

01/09/2008 - finally, DOS gives me the interview date, April 16, 2007 (ouch)

01/23/2008 - never got packet 4, emailed embassy

04/11/2008 - picked up packet 4, did medical

04/14/2008 - medical report pickup, no problems

04/16/2008 - interview date- APPROVED!!!!!

04/18/2008 - both of us are home at last, POE JFK!

05/21/2008 - sent AOS and EAD

05/27/2008 - received NOA1 for AOS and for EAD

06/02/2008 - received Biometrics appt letter

06/19/2008 - Biometrics appointment scheduled - DONE

06/19/2008 - both AOS and EAD touched because of biometrics

07/29/2008 - EAD approved.

05/13/2009 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!/ Card production ordered email

05/18/2009 - Welcome Letter received

06/12/2009 - Second card production ordered email

06/19/2009 - Approval notice send email

06/22/2009 - Green Card received

04/09/2012 - Applied for Citizenship by Express Mailing N400 to NBC

04/10/2012 - N400 received by USCIS

06/23/2012 - Biometrics appointment

07/27/2012 - Appointment scheduled for N400 interview

09/05/2012 - Interview passed, oath ceremony completed, and Naturalization certificate received.

We were transferred to CSC yesterday on 7/7/08. Can you add that to the timeline? Also, thanks for making this timeline for us!

I don't like waiting!!! Nothing has happened with my status since the biometrics on 6/6 :crying: Nobody even touched it once since then....

28 Aug. 2003: started dating (me on E-1 work visa)

30. Dec. 2006: engagement

20. Oct. 2007: wedding

AOS:

7. May 2008: mailed out AOS & EAD to Chicago

8. May 2008: envelope delivered

15. May 2008: received NOS for AOS & EAD

19. May 2008: received appointment for biometrics on 6/6

6. June 2008: biometrics at 12 noon

18. July 2008: received email: EAD card production ordered

28. July 2008: received email: EAD approval notice sent by mail

28. July 2008: received EAD card in the mail

12. August 2008: received letter in the mail with date for AOS Interview on Sept. 22

22. September 2008: Interview went fast and smooth (10 Min!!) and case was approved according to officer

I never added my timeline, but we filed in early May. We did our biometrics over a month ago and still haven't heard word about EAD or AP document, which seems strange since I've seen people who filed later and already have those.

I have checked my case status various times online, but how can I find out if it's been touched? Do I sign up for their email updates?

Hello our VJ Family! Well, I have a good news today. I got my biometrics appointment letter a while ago. Thank God!

But as i was reading it fastly coz i was too excited to have it, i noticed that it only states my MSC case number for my AOS. It didn't mention my case number for my EAD application. The only case number written at the upper right hand corner of the letter is the MSC number for my AOS application. so, i'm a litte worried right now. I don't know if my biometrics that will happen on July 22nd will also cover for my EAD application. I called the uscis call center and the lady told me that it should and it will be valid for a year for any type of application.

one more thing, i don't know if this the result of the service request i made two weeks ago informing the national benefit center that i haven't received my bio Letter yet for my AOS that's why they only sent me a bio letter for my AOS case application.

anybody there who received an ASC letter which states the case number for the AOS application only and made it useful for the EAD application too?

Please enlighten me. I'm so happy to receive my biometrics letter today! God is good all the time!

Hello our VJ Family! Well, I have a good news today. I got my biometrics appointment letter a while ago. Thank God!

But as i was reading it fastly coz i was too excited to have it, i noticed that it only states my MSC case number for my AOS. It didn't mention my case number for my EAD application. The only case number written at the upper right hand corner of the letter is the MSC number for my AOS application. so, i'm a litte worried right now. I don't know if my biometrics that will happen on July 22nd will also cover for my EAD application. I called the uscis call center and the lady told me that it should and it will be valid for a year for any type of application.

one more thing, i don't know if this the result of the service request i made two weeks ago informing the national benefit center that i haven't received my bio Letter yet for my AOS that's why they only sent me a bio letter for my AOS case application.

anybody there who received an ASC letter which states the case number for the AOS application only and made it useful for the EAD application too?

Please enlighten me. I'm so happy to receive my biometrics letter today! God is good all the time!
