Not correct.

USCIS has no use for the affidavit of support at the time of filing, it is not in the I-129F directions as a requirement, and more than likely was discarded.

The I-134 is required by the consulate and needs to be current at the time of the visa interview, the counselor officer will use the Affidavit of support to determine if you can support the prospective immigrant.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

i've submited affidavid of support along with my i-129f and now its been approved will i have to sumit another afidavid of support?

Just as the other guys said, you need to resubmit that document at the interview.

The Affidavit of support didn't need to be submitted with the initial package, it's not needed until the interview.

Best of luck!

just a question... i know all the supporting documents have to be dated as close to the interview date as possible. do u think there would be a problem if the letter of employment and letter from the bank would be dated 2-3 months before the interview? my fiance has started requesting for these letters though im expecting my noa2 around end of june (at the earliest). i read from some old threads that some people are having difficulty getting the employment letter so we just thought of requesting for it early. not sure if it's a good decision.

thanks.

Employment letters are not required but nice to have. The longer you've been employed the same place, the less critical the date on the letter, but why not just check on how long it will take to get the letter, if available at all, and make your decision about when to request it, once you know.

i think my fiance already requested for it a few weeks ago. we just hope that the letter wont be considered outdated. but nice to hear from you that it's not really required.
