I just would like to know if being a nurse will not jeopardize the approval of our K1 visa application. Will the Consul not consider a big deal that the K1 visa beneficiary is a nurse specially during the interview? I'd like to know about this matter.

this is just my thoughts on it but i would think that they would be happy about it because it means that it is less of a chance that u will become dependent on the state for anything i mean everyone has to have show of a sponsor to support them for that very reason but if ur a nurse they can see that u will be able to find work easily once ur legally able to work so i would think it would help ur case not hinder it but as i said this is just my thoughts about it

I will assume you are talking about Retrogression on Nurses whom enter the USA.

If you were trying to come into the USA via a work visa to work as a nurse and a hospital petitoned you, then yes would have about a 5 year wait now.

But since you are coming into the USA as a K1 Visa, then being a nurse will have no impact.

Probably a good time to be a nurse from Philippines being in USA looking for work the next few years, cuz your competiton from nurses from other countries coming into the USA for the next 5 years will be few to none.

FYI - My Fiance just graduated with her Nursing Degree and I have explored this subject in great detail..

Nope! I just got interviewed last April 23 and the consul asked me what does i do for a living, and i said i am a nurse and i'm preparing to take my nclex examination... he said " ah ok, so you're a nurse that's good" that's all he said... and i got approved. It doesn't matter even if you're a nurse... as long as you're document are complete you don't have to worry anything. Gudluck!

I have many counsin who were NURSES (beneficiary) and none of them had any problems. Actually, it was easier for them to find work in the states.

I don't think so.. Cause either 1 way or another you can apply to come to America with your profession..

Nurse is an in-demand profession here in the US.

It's not big of a deal, I believe so.
