Hi all,

The following thread says that Packet 3 states that you don't need an American police certificate to cover any previous residence in the USA.

My packet 3 has no mention of it!!! However, the Embassy web site says I don't need one:

http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/iv/pbcerts.html

Just to prove how ####### I am.... could someone please confirm that I don't need an American police certificate that covers the years that I was a resident in the United States.

Thanks!

You have several sources (including fairly one authoritative) that tell you the answer but yet you do not believe.

No PC for previous US residence required.

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah - I know. But since it's not stated on my Packet 3, and the Embassy web site info doesn't always agree 100% with what the USCIS guidelines are, I thought I'd better check rather than risk having problems at the interview.
