I am sorry this is so difficult and stressful on you and your relationship. I have two suggestions. You can do whatever you like with them.

#1. Call your Congressperson or your Senator and inform them once again that your petition is beyond the timeline posted on USCIS. Sometimes it pays to keep calling and be assertive.

#2. You need to take care of yourself and make your own physical and mental health a priority. Whether that means seeing a counselor, talking to a trusted friend, meditating, working out, taking a couple days off work or whatever...only you will know. I just think this process can make almost anyone crazy and unfortunately it will still be a while before you see your fiance so, in the meantime, you need to figure out a way to stay healthy during the long wait. It will help you, help your be strong for your partner, and keep your relationship in a more stable/healthy state.

OUR STORY and TIMELINE:

07/05: Jose and I met while I was living in Costa Rica!

10/07: We filed our application (I-129F)

02/08: Petition is approved!

03/08: CR Embassy receives our file

04/08: Jose's interview in San Jose, Costa Rica (April 25th). VISA APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

05/08: May 14th Jose arrives in at JFK, May 16th he arrives in California!!!

07/08: Married!

08/08: AOS/EAD/AP paperwork submitted

08/08: Biometrics Appointment

12/08: Interview for Adjustment of Status, very easy and all went well!

We expect to have Jose's greencard by February!

Hey Estadia!

I really hope everything you guys deserve happens for you, and real soon.

I look up to you and salute you

Even though you're still waiting after a ridiculous amount of time, you are always one of the first people to congratulate others who have approvals. :star:

You've given us so many kind words and I hope you continue to keep your spirits up.

It will happen and I for one wish you all the best.

Thanks!

I am so sorry you have had to wait so long, estadia. As others have said, you've been so positive and supportive of others and all the while it must have been so hard to do! I really, really hope that you receive your approval soon, and that to make up for this delay the rest of your journey passes really swiftly.

Sara....

Hun I really think you should take that visit you were talking about a few weeks ago. I know Perviz said not to because of saving the money, but sometimes you just gotta screw practicality and do what's best for the heart. What good is money if it can't buy us a little happiness?

Just hang in there.....the end is in sight.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

That's so true.

Maybe you could do the impossible to go visit him?

....when it hurts to look back and you're scared to look ahead LOOK beside you and I'll be there.....

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
