It would take so many attempts to get them over the phone. Forget about talking to a live operator, it happens once in a blue moon. Better email to them. Their phone# is 001-603-0340700. Good luck !

Now they have to enter your DS-230 into the system after the review, case the close and forward to New Delhi U.S Consulate. I would say another 2 more months for your interview at New Delhi, unless any RFE comes. I hope not.

Loto, I believe that he meant Ds 3032 choice of agent and not DS 230, if that is correct I believe it won't take another 2 months, but now considering the online payment system it may take 4 months, otherwise it would take even more time.

Correction on the number, it's 001-603-334-0700 but of course this is a toll number and can cost you.

If you download Skype, you can call the NVC for free without a subscription. Dial on Skype 1-800-466-4411, at the prompt type in 03801 on the phone keypad , then at the next prompt press 1 8472 (1 VISA) .. When the results are starting to be read, press 1 and you'll be connected to the NVC for free. This method works from any country. Also, those in the states or Canada can call from any phone without toll charge. Note that if the NVC line is busy that your call will just be disconnected if you call this way rather than hearing a busy signal.

Remember that if you wish to speak to a live operator that they're only there from 0800 to 0000 eastern daylight time monday through friday in the US which is -0400 UTC right now. Best to call really early or really late to get through without much problem. If you just want to use the automated system you will have really good luck calling outside of that time frame and on the weekends
