So I'm wondering now if Hillary will not concede even if Obama secures the nomination by the beginning of June?

Edit: That'd be a great debate question.

As long as she knows that she could change some SD's minds she will not drop out. She will fight right up to the convention and take the fight to the floor. Just remember that the SD's can change their mind at any time and the nominee isn't chosen until the convention.

Problem with that strategy is that once a candidate has the support of not only of 2025 delegates but also the support of the majority of states and the the majority of pledged delegates (those that earn via votes received), for the other to keep living in denial about their defeat would be a major turn off. Such behavior would not exactly encourage anyone to switch support to the defeated but rather cause some that originally supported the defeated to switch sides to help the party heal and unite. I tend to believe that the Democratic Party is larger than the Clintons.

I didn't say it was right but I do think it will happen. You know how Hillary is.

Also worth remembering, Hillary started out with 96 superdelegates pledging their support for her. Obama started with 96 sd deficit and is now within 20.

As I said earlier, if she fails to see that it's time to go and refuses to make the decision herself, then it'll be made for her. Honestly, though, I don't think it's going to come to that. She'll bow out. She's got to maintain some degree of respectability. Otherwise, her Senate career is coming to an end as well. And she knows it.

I think your right. She's got to realize that she would not only squander the election for Democrats but also her political career.

Remember who we are talking about here. You may be right but don't be shocked when Aug rolls around and she is still fighting.

 @the cartoon!.. Someone needs to tell her.. there isn't any point in beating a dead horse! If she'd give up and take second place and maybe run a the VP then it wouldn't be so bad but would anyone want her as a VP?
