Quite probably so, Steven. I think if we look beyond the pettiness of the latest round of Bull hitting the air that the voters that want to focus on real issues will vote as such and those that let themselves be molded by beauty contests can also vote as their basal instincts instruct them.

I'm just counting the days.

AS for me I'm counting the days til' we arrive in Colombia for a month of well-earned vacation. Then I can bury my feet in the Caribbean beaches all I care :D.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

That sound nice. Luz and I are planning a trip to the Philippines next year. With buying a house and a car we will have to wait until then. There are some really nice beaches in PI.

Oh, brother...that sounds a bit like heaven right now. For me, I'll settle for another election post free day. :P

Man you got me there. PI would totally rock. Lucky we are not buying anything big just yet. It looks like it will be Europe or Asia next year to show my gal a little more of the world beyond South America.

Make it so Steven... or just an election poll-free day for that matter :D:D. In the end the smoke dissipates.

I love PI. I have been there 7 times now. It's a beautiful country and without a doubt the most friendly to Americans of the places I have been so far. Twelve years from now we plan to retire there. I can't wait.

I see myself buying a nice little cattle ranch in Colombia someday...

Gary - why not retire in the United States? Too expensive?

I can retire here with an average lifestyle at age 67. I can retire in style at age 62 in PI. Plus Luz really wants to spend some time with her family. Given that I really love PI and I wouldn't have to worry about winters any more (I hate winter!) then it isn't a hard decision.

What would you do about your muscle car though?

There's always Florida, you know. :D

Ship it to PI - definitely, man! LOL

Nah, that isn't in the cards. I had to start over 5 years ago when I got my divorce. I lost my house, savings and retirement. I have a really good start again but I doubt if 12 years from now it would be enough to move to Florida. But I will have plenty to live the high life in a tropical paradise if I move to PI. And I can do it at age 62 so I will have some time to enjoy it all.

12 years from now I doubt if I still have it. Maybe another one 5 years from now, who knows?

Keep dreaming that dream. Or rather, keep hanging on that straw. Enjoy it while it lasts. Reality will take it from you come June. ;)
