Superdelegate deluge

Posted: 12:32 PM ET

(CNN) — The superdelegate deluge continued Wednesday afternoon with the announcement of two new endorsements.

Luisette Cabanas, an unpledged superdelegate from Puerto Rico, is backing Hillary Clinton. California Rep. Lois Capps is supporting Barack Obama. (Capps is the mother-in-law of Obama Press Secretary Bill Burton.)

So far, the Clinton campaign has released the names of four new superdelegate supporters in the last 24 hours, and the Obama campaign has named five.

metta, you want all the superdelegates to choose now rather than wait until the Convention? If so, that's commendable. Let's choose our nominee by beginning of June.

It looks like the SD are splitting right down the middle! Woot! No winner until August!:dance::dance:

Not quite, if all the super delegates split down the middle, Obama will have the nessary delegates after the last primary. No winner until June though.

Not when you consider that Obama is tanking in the polls. Clinton will win most of the rest of the states and garner more delegates. This isn't going to be over for a long time! Sorry PH.

Even if Clinton were to win every remaining Primary by more than 30 points (which isn't going to happen), she'd still trail Obama by more than 30 pledged delegates. As it stands, Obama is within 293 delegates of securing the nomination. He's going to be the nominee, however much he's taken a hit from all the negativity.
