I'm divorcing my husband and filing a K1.

If you read the ombudsman's report you'll see that USCIS responds in a way that is deliberately evasive. There's something very rotten in that organization. They behave like guilty parties, obfuscating truth. Double-talk, lies, nonsense.

Nice use of the word obfuscating, I mean come on, be honest, how many times do you get to use that word ;) and it fits so well for them.

I know another word that fits them well,

A-HOLES

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

That Sept. Filer was a K1 I thought? I havent seen any CR/IR1 I 130s approved since Amaster. If they keep their filing dates at July 30th when they update the processing times im going to scream. I need to just relax and focus on my upcoming trip to Brazil but I just cant. I have been getting back in to working out though, trying to atleast get back to 140 pounds. I lost 30 pounds from stressing over this and it does not look good, I still have to force myself to eat though. I just dont get hungry. I really would like it if that the people at USCIS could see and understand the stress that they create on the people that are waiting. It would be nice if they would have a heart and understand that the frustrations that some people might have because they didnt get their citizenship in time to vote or the companies have to wait a few more months to bring over that new employee are nothing compared to the heartache we all have to live with day by day for an unknown amount of time.

yes. he was. I dont know what i was thinking.

and yes. you are completely right.

I am waiting on July 17. If I reach that date without anything all Hell will break loose and I will be contacting EVERYONE.

I'm also thinking that ishoulsd move california and apply again. I really really hope that VSC wakes up start approving all the petitions till today's date. Why we have live apart from our spouses.

I just don't know what to tell to my husband about VSC except it's a piece of ####### organization.

Once a while, he asked me if i hear anything and all i could do is to give him false hopes that it'll be sooner than we think. :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Now I am thinking I could have used my mom's address in Fresno instead and then claim to have 'decided' to move to NY when it gets to embassy stage... ^_^

ETA: it would have been hard to explain my 8-year employment history with the same NYC employer....damn....

How could it be fraud if it were legal?

(The flaw of course is that it would take just enough time to get a divorce such that the CR1 would be granted on the very day that the divorce becomes final. USCIS Rule #23.)

The gap between CSC K-3 filers and IR-1/CR-1 filers is still growing. I filed my stand alone I-130 in January, I don't get why mine would be skipped over someone who filed in March, but then again, there is not any type of system they go by. None of it makes sense.

I-130 Timeline:

12-11-2007- Married my Love

02-08-2008- CSC receives I-130

02-11-2008- Received Hardcopy NOA1

08-14-2008- Approved!!! 216 days...

08-21-2008- NOA2 Hardcopy received

08-27-2008- NVC Receives file, NVC Case Number issued

09-05-2008- AOS Fee Bill and DS-3032 Generated

09-06-2008- E-mailed DS-3032 to NVC

09-11-2008- Received Hardcopy of DS-3032 and AOS Fee Bill

09-15-2008- Mailed Hardcopy of DS-3032

09-16-2008- Paid $70 AOS fee online

09-17-2008- Received E-mail confirming the DS-3032 Agent

09-17-2008- Printed Coversheet for AOS paperwork
