Isn't there anything we could do to get better information? What if we send a petition to Chair of Immigration Committe in congress to investigate USCIS process.

Lets get the petition started. It doesnt take much. But we need not just 2-3 people we need EVERYONE who is filing on VJ for I-130 @ Vermont!

Why just narrow this to VSC petitions? I am rapidly approaching day 200 with CSC.

For whatever lame reason, K1s get the quickest turnaround. It makes no sense in terms of social engineering. Existing families are kept apart but people who aren't yet married can start a new life together sooner but can't work or leave the country for a while. (We'll keep you dependent on your USC spouse and keep you hostage!)

In any case, my entire point was to state that on the IR/CR board, we are often mixing apples and oranges (K3s and IR1/CR1s) when they're not the same, they only share one piece of paper.

Once the 129F is received, it would make no sense to me to work on each application independently -- IOW, if you grab the 130 you should also grab the 129F and complete them concurrently. That way you are not moving applications through the queue but you are moving APPLICANTS through. The number of pieces of paper and the number of times you touch each piece of paper only indicates inefficiency in the process.

I completely agree with what you wrote.

And you're right, immigrant visa petitions and K-3 visa applications are two different cookies, shouldn't be mixed.

Also, i'm a huge supporter for treating both the I-129F and I-130 for K-3 together. Same stuff, save half the time, get focused on other petitions and get people the hell out of USCIS!

On a positive note for you IR-1/CR-1 visa applicants: NVC seems to be moving pretty fast these days, so things should go faster for you guys there at least. Hope you hear something soon, MsZ

Yes you are right, it just looked like Vermont as at a standstil in aprovals.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

I suggest that you all start a new thread for petition...which is an excellent idea considering how long some of you are waiting. Appoint one or two people to head this and pass on your information to those individuals who will protect individuals identity, draft the petition and execute it.

If you can organize this, it'd be a commendable effort on behalf of all who have suffered through the strange sense of logic that USCIS possesses.

Show those mothas...that you ain't gonna sit there and take it on the chin.

I hope you realize that a petition is not going to do much. The problem with most of these issues is that by the time anyone pays attention, the signers are already though the system and are not interested in fighting old battles.

Past that, as we've seen, our country doesn't have the stomach for immigration reform, let alone for refining internal governmental processes.

I'm in! ..... damn, I've said enough horrid stuff about them already on here .... in for a cent, in for a dollar!

Where do I sign ??? but then, Im the foreign spouse, so they wont give a toot what I say

.... apart from the fact I already have a greencard A# and a SS# and it's really a waste of their resources and tax payers money having to go through this process all over again!!!

.... they could save tax payers money and a space in the line by giving me a different line to get into for simple reinstatement of my original card.

Got another touch today. Is something happening or is Vermont just toying with me?

Recent activity has been:

I-129f NOA-1 18th Jan 2008

I-130 touch 9/4/08

I-129f touch 9/4/08

A couple of other touches on I-130 then:

RFE!!! I-130 30/4/08

RFE info received and case resumed processing on I-130 8/5/08

Can someone tell me where I type the above time line in so that it comes up each time I post and I dont have to keep repeating it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Dave,

Maybe someone is checking out the hot photos of you, and has to scan your file everytime they take the photos out  .... they feel that they have to 'touch' you in one way or another

Has anyone noticed that not many of the CR1/IR1 only filers seem to get touched .... they just seem to get approval emails and/or approval letters in the mail ???

It appears that the K3 filers get the majority of the touches

Just thought I'd add that

Yeah I am getting touched up a lot lately. Dirty bastards! If they're gonna tease me they might aswell go the whole way!

Thanks jeca for the signature advice. Sorry Paris, no approval to report yet but it's always good to get touched up - apart from the time they left me with that STD, no sorry I mean that RFE! Both diseases of some kind.

Talking of photos Sarah, does anyone know how to get your photo up on this profile? I sound like a right computer dumbass, that comes from being a PE teacher! I have tried several times but it says the file is too large.

Come on VSC, approve us!

Probably needed the new certificate because the other one got all smudged

But, at least your RFE was quicker to sort than most STD's .....

Photos? .... try photobucket. You upload the photo to the website and download it to your computer again all small like.
