That a CR1 gets done here and there doesn't mean that K3s aren't getting priority.

I assume you mean getting priority for I-130 processing. If this is really true, then i'd say this equally blows for both K-3 visa applicants and immigrant visa applicants. The whole point of filing that extra I-129F petition, is to get this approved faster, so you dont have to wait for the I-130 approval. VJ timelines show exactly 2 of such approvals for K-3 since January in Vermont (as opposed to a whole list of approvals in California). If I wanted my I-130 processed first, I would have filed for a different type of visa. This is particularly nasty since K-1 visa applicants are getting their I-129F's approved in the meantime.

So while I understand you feel frustrated, and I feel terrible for folks that have been waiting since summer, it's a bit much to say K-3's are getting a "priority" treatment. There are also still K-3 folks waiting that filed all that while ago.

I'd say, VSC, please finally start focusing on the I-129Fs for K-3's and on the I-130's for the immigrant visas.

I am 234 days in and my application hasn't been touched since 2/24/08. Nothing still. Come on VSC

whats going on?

When USCIS touches your file, do you receive any emails if your signed up on USCIS website? Thanks

Im at like 192 or something. so sad.

This is beyond rediculous. Something has gone on there and they are trying to fix it I am assuming... maybe they all got flooded out and they really destroyed our files... OR...they cant find them...

I mean....all us Sept-Nov. filers are the ones that sent to VSC and then from VSC we were shipped to the lockbox....

everyone after us shipped directly to the lockbox...and NOW WE ARE the ones they arent processing.......very questionable....

I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!!!!!!!!!

Another week is about to go buy and they arent moving anywhere, I mean almost no approvals, their work efficency is just mind blowing!

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

If they'd at least go by the NOA1 date but some of these folks have NOA1s after us!

Trying to make sense of the USCIS approval process is like nailing Jello to the wall...

LMAO! Maybe its the late hour...but geesh I read this and died. You made my night....put a smile on my face for sure.

Glad I could throw a little humor into this agonizing process..... :)

For whatever lame reason, K1s get the quickest turnaround. It makes no sense in terms of social engineering. Existing families are kept apart but people who aren't yet married can start a new life together sooner but can't work or leave the country for a while. (We'll keep you dependent on your USC spouse and keep you hostage!)

In any case, my entire point was to state that on the IR/CR board, we are often mixing apples and oranges (K3s and IR1/CR1s) when they're not the same, they only share one piece of paper.

Once the 129F is received, it would make no sense to me to work on each application independently -- IOW, if you grab the 130 you should also grab the 129F and complete them concurrently. That way you are not moving applications through the queue but you are moving APPLICANTS through. The number of pieces of paper and the number of times you touch each piece of paper only indicates inefficiency in the process.

Did you just try to put such words as "Making Sense" "Social Engineering" and "USCIS" In the same paragraph. Come on you know better than that :)

Trying to motivate the people on this forum to make a pettition seems a very difficult task. We all complain and want something done but only a small few are willing to take part in a pettition. Either they feel it is too much work or that there is no point. I wish that we could unite everyone to do something, even if it did nothing to help us atleast we all gave it a shot. Im all for it though.

Yes it would be nice, what kind of information would we need from each petitioner to prove a point?

Name

Case number?

What else would be useful?

we need a good writer to write the petition first of all then post it for public editing on google docs so people can sign it. Here is few things I think the petition should address

1) Processing Dates - Have not changed in the last two months

2) People are being approved randomly - need evidence here which would be dec/jan approved before sep/oct/nov filers.

3) Why K1 processing dates more current than K3/IR1 - how are they prioritizing

4) Why California and Vermont have different policy and priorities

5) USCIS raised prices 50% - how are they additional funds being spent, how many workers have been added at each service center over last year, specifically ajudicators.

I think another thing that should be said is the lack of information given, the whole not knowing part of it really does have a huge impact on people. Creates a sense of hopelessness and could cause what would be considered normal people to become anxiety filled , stressed out people.
