I guess we have now discovered the answer to the topic's question "are the floodgates about to open" is "no"

This is getting to be more than I can take!!!!!!!!! SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shrewdgal, I was having a laugh .... This system is hard for all of us, and I'm just trying to lighten it up.

The approvals are happening and hopefully there will be more this week (it's only monday today) .... you've got a January NOA1, and you know that they are processing those currently as the timeline shows exactly that.

If you don't have your approval by the end of the month then I'll be very surprised.

Shrewdgal, the time you guys have been waiting is just stupid, and (sorry VSC) I think the system is a pile of old #######.

But, you cannot let distance affect your marriages like this, and you cannot let a pile of old ####### system get the better of you.

All of you are more than capable of holding this together, you've come this far and that is admirable!

The system has been pointed out to be a little more transparent than we thought originally, as at least now we know how they work. The sh**ter in this is the extra time you guys have been waiting, but this time will not last forever.

000 if you're feeling as bad as you are, I suggest you go to the movie store and get yourself a copy of the movie 'Gladiator' out and watch it .... and if that doesn't help, then go and get 'Rocky' out.

You really need something to bring back your fighting spirit!

Worst comes to the worst I can always go all 'Army Strong' on you .... you've got me worried and I'll do all I can to help.

I think we all have Immigration Stress Disorder, and I've mentioned it before .... I think a mass Tort Lawyer would make a fortune out of this situation we all have to go through.

Till then, VSC and USCIS can just deal with me taking the piss out of them, because really, I know I could do a much better job at running this system (as a lot of us on here could) ..... there's a challenge USCIS!!! I've thrown down the gauntlet .... if you want your system running like a well oiled machine within weeks, then put me in charge! :pop:

I believe we sent a photocopy of the original. This has already been sent back to them so hopefully we will be back in the game asap. I'll keep you all posted.

We got an RFE last Wednesday 30th April. Today our lawyer received the letter from USCIS and all they wanted was a certified copy of our marriage certificate. I believe we sent a photocopy of the original. This has already been sent back to them so hopefully we will be back in the game asap. I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks Paris. Just glad it was something really easy to correct. Fingers crossed for all our VSC approvals to start coming through. Surely it's our time now?!!!!!!!!!!

Bloody shame you got an RFE at all like Paris said, but at least it's easy to fix.

You're not the only one, I did too .... infact, I now think my packet was a complete mess and I'll be held up in RFE land for the foreseeable future when they get to me .... just prepare everything for an RFE, that way you'll be able to get it all to them ASAP! But do bear in mind, that not everyone gets RFE'd for this.

Oh Sarah, No, I pray you dont. If I get RFE it's for no copy of back of birht cert. "I did tht too Sarah" and I forgot on the G-325A forms bottom of form with heavy lined black box to put his name on his and my name on mine, for the I-130 petition.

Oh yeah, no picures in plastic bags, on both petitions I-130 & I-129F I took stock of those suckers this weekend, Ha Ha

The rest Im just praying is alright Sarah. But did include cert. copy of our marrige license. Thank God for small favors.

I sent only photocopies of everything as part of I-130 process. I don't think it is an issue, all depends on which donkey gets your application :rofl::rofl::rofl:

This was my list:

1. Completed and signed form I-130

2. Filing Fee $355 payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security

3. Copy of my Naturalization Certificate to prove the U.S citizenship

4. Completed and signed form G-325A and photograph of the petitioner

5. Completed and signed form G-325A and photograph of the beneficiary

6. Copy of our Marriage Certificate

7. Copies of Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship

8. Copy of my Birth Certificate

9. Copy of beneficiary’s Birth Certificate, School Record and Passport
