I was feeling very inspired today thinking that I will pop the question in the more traditional sense (in that I have the ring finally). I've been doing a lot of thinking about what I'm going to say Friday and how I want her to feel as special as I see her. She has an excellent memory and I want her to always remember the promise I'm about to make.

I made a card for Brandon to celebrate our first Christmas together in person in 2003 after we decided to take a risk with our friendship by moving into a relationship.

We each came from difficult pasts and it took us almost a year of friendship through almost daily e-mails, phone calls, and ICQ chats to reach a commitment together:

He's supportive, caring, kind, humble yet strong, funny -and- serious, hard working, & sincere. I feel completely comfortable around him and every insecurity about myself doesn't really exist around him. I don't feel nervous if I act silly or ridiculous, or scared to be my real self with him. I know he will take care of me and has already shown how much he loves me by marrying me against his family's wishes. I really owe a lot to him in that sense, he risked losing his family in order to be with me. Thankfully they still love him and talk to him, but it's not been easy one bit (I don't know them yet).

He's also very nice to people he meets and is well liked by basically everyone he meets. I made a list years ago before I met him with all the qualities I would like in a future husband, and while falling in love with Sujeet I realized that he indeed had all those qualities.

He's not only my love but my best friend, and in my opinion that true friendship mixed with the love is what will keep us united through our whole life.

He used to write me little cute poems when he was still in India...not really western style poems, more like Indian styled which use really beautiful words as if you are reading an ancient poem.

I love Dave because he's just the way he is. Because we had faith in each other from the start. Because just like he did on our 6th month annyversary, I could name one reason to love him for every day we've known each other. It's that easy!

jigga is truly the best thing in my life. he's not perfect, but i am not sure that i'd want him to be. although if he didn't snore, i'd be absurdly grateful .

we both have our quirks, but we compliment each other. he can add, i can spell. he can drive stick, i can rollerblade. he can fix the pc, i can stitch the buttons back onto his shirts. he can do the taxes, i can spend the refund money on shoes. i forgive him for making me watch the speed channel, and he forgives me for making him watch food network (i iron chef).

i can cry on his shoulder just as easily as i can snuggle up next to him and watch toonami, or beat him in the head with a pillow.

i cannot think of a single time when i needed him and he wasn't there for me. even when he can't come up with all the pretty words, he lets me know in a million different ways that he loves me.

I wanted to surprise Cristina on our wedding day. I had been studying Spanish all summer and wanted to do something special for her and all her relatives who came from Spain to see us married. So I wrote 3 pages of our history (starting from when I first saw her walk into a room at her brothers wedding 10 years before and culminating with our wedding) I still melt inside everyday when I come home from work and she comes running to the door like we haven't seen each other for a week. I still feel like the luckiest man in the world every day and night when I wake up and then when I lay down to sleep(sometimes we do...honest ) She lights up every room she walks into. I joke with people that ever since I got off the plane in Madrid last year and hugged my best friend, that she then grabbed my arm and we started to run and now a year and a month later, my feet have still not hit the ground. We spend almost all our free time together and I enjoy doing anything and everything with her. Sometimes we spend hours just laughing or if we are discussing something it just slays me sometimes how we seem to always be on the same page. Oh don't worry we argue sometimes and it's lively when we do. We are both a bit bullheaded, and I told her that it's fine, we just both can't be bullheaded at the same time . I love her honesty, her directness, her spirit. How can I not love her, she gave up a great life in Spain with a great job and wonderful friends and family and all for this idea that 2 people are meant to be together and share their lives forever. I've already told her, I don't care where we are, US, Espana, or anywhere else, I don't care if we live in a mansion or an old refrigerator box, as long as we're together I'm golden... Te quiero mi vida y mi alma gemela para siempre!!
